Horns take must-win game -- Two plays make difference in 2-1 win

The Longhorns got two huge plays from Mark Payton and Jonathan Walsh, and great pitching from John Curtiss and Hoby Milner to avoid being swept by Baylor.

The hitting is coming but not having that true ace is just debilitating. We need breaks and we have to take advantage of them.

I don't see how you think the hitting is coming....almost have to pitch a shutout to win these days.

I would agree if you are comparing this team to last years team but this team has hit a wall in the last 2 weeks. Now they are not a good offensive team..................however the parts are there to be able to score 4-5 runs per game. The problem is this team has little power so they have to execute and string together hits to win.

Unfortunate that this team had so many mistakes and just bad luck. Youth had a lot to do with it but man it felt like this team was snake bit from the beggining. Not the team we have grown accustom to seeing year in and year out. I think thy flop in the postseason. If thy make it.

Completely agree with that point. Texas gets into ruts when they don't get the timely hit with runners in scoring position. Without that power they need to score the slow way, and the games they've struggled offensively have been the games where they can't get that last hit in an inning to bring a run or two home.
