Texas ended its four-game losing streak with a 6-1 win over UT Pan American thanks to some good defense, quality pitching and sporadic offense on Tuesday night.

  • Sounds like a mixed bag for the Horns. Gotta continue to find how to hit and get runs.
Good to see Chad keeping things going.

  • I think we're going to like this team. The middle of the lineup is strong, with Weis, Payton, and Hinojosa. We're starting to pull it together defensively, and the pitching has looked very good. Even the Stanford sweep had some promising moments. All three of those games were winnable. We just needed some clutch hitting.

It's a very young team that shows some signs occasionally of putting it all together. I think we are going to be right there in the regional hosting when all is said and done.

Wish I shared your enthusiasm. I think small ball is passe and it's time to come into the 21st century and get some power hitters. Seems like all Augie recruits are guys who can bunt, run and play defense.
