  • I really don't think Ketch's comment was bad at all. Maybe he exaggerated a little bit with the age comment. I don't know (I didn't see VY at that time or Swoopes now). But nowhere did I read that he said Swoopes was going to be better than VY.

I don't think Ash's vision is that bad. Remember how many TDs he missed with bad throws.. I just think the game never slowed for him last year. I expect 1800-2400 yds this year.. Depends on how we run it..

What are most of you expecting of the Texas offense this year? I hate to say it, but if your run game stays healthy and your QB manages it well then ya'll will be a dangerous team. Good year to be on the way up.

twocents...VY's number is retired, gave Texas its first title in 35 years, re-defined the QB position within Texas HS football & @ Texas, beat (with help) a team being called the greatest of all-time in the Rose Bowl, and made the number 10 become an iconic symbol among Texas HS football players

Just no reason any analyst should use VY in any comparison with any HS QB...just not fair to the high schooler

Pretty sure most of the practices were closed. Just sayin'.

Think they closed in 2003, I know I saw VY throw in 2002 when he shirted. Was there the day the Wright kid who signed with Miami visited. I assume Ketch's remark was he say all 'open" practices.

I've seen enough video of Vince from HS vs Swoopes to call BS. STOP THE HYPE, let the kid develop into the next "Swoopes"

He is raw and hope he gets a chance to work at some of the QB camps to grow.

(sorry, didn't intend to ditto Jeff Howe's comments, hadn't read the entire thread but he was spot on)

  • I think people forget that Terrelle Pryor played for a 2A school in Pennsylvania and didnt put up monster stats he actually never put up more than 1,900 yards in rushing and passing.

  • Ketch is an arrogant idiot with a website.

    That is all..

  • Yeah, Mike Farrell apparently came out this week and said Swoopes was better in 7-on-7 than Cam, VY or Pryor.

I'll believe the mods here who have tried been saying what a lot of people are now realizing is the truth.

I've got a lot wrong in my days, but I personally made Cam Newton a five star after watching him work out for a week at a Florida all-star game. No one else voted that way. They all said the Army game was better and that's why John Brantley should have been rated higher and that his ranking drop had to do with his decommitment from Texas.

Anything else is revisionist history. We should have made Dez a 5* after that same game. But Outlaw told me held would freeze over before Dez would qualify.
