I was on the field prior to the game.
Kendall was with Kevin Vaccaro and Bryson Echols during pregame warm-ups watching the DBs. He was not with the WR recruits who were watching the wideouts on the other side of the field. He was standing along the westside sidelines at midfield close by Cole Luke and Maurice Smith, as well as a guy with long dreads who had a hand-written nametag (may have been an underclassman). They were all right behind Akina and taking in the surroundings.
Could he be warming to the notion of giving DB a try?
