Bobby, any insight into what the hell the strategy is here? Is this some sort of stop gap move to keep other schools from luring Garrett away if his status as the starter is in limbo coming out of the Spring?

we probably told him he needs the extra year to bulk up, so he'd have basically 2 redshirt years.....i think we must like him. no way you waste a ship or give a courtesy offer, even if it is a year delayed
