The 247 composite ranking had Manziel in 400s in the country, RGIII somewhere in the 200s. Hindsight is 20/20. But it's not like a ton of schools were knocking down either of their doors to play QB. I would venture that most here would have been upset had Manziel been offered.
That's not to absolve Mack and the staff of wrong doing. It's their job to find the best guys and they get paid a lot of money to do it. It's just another data point to show that this one isn't just on the Texas Staff, it was everyone.
Not going after Luck on the other hand was widely questioned by lots of people and has proved to be really dumb. IMO that's the one that we should be really upset about.
