Does anyone out there have Art Briles' phone number?

A friend of mine in the who lives in Baton Rouge told me to win in the SEC you have to have a coach who is an jerk (ie Saban, Miles, Petrino, Meyer come to mind). Stoops fits that mold as well (although not in the SEC). Then there are coaches who are tough minded who have turned programs around Harbough, Schianno, Kelley. A football program is a reflection of it's Head Coach. Mack Brown is too nice and too soft. That is why we have been blown out by OU four times. Bring on Dan Mullen or Paul Rhoads.

What's the thoughts on Jerry Gray, I know he has no head coaching experience, and the way he left the program in a lurch after forcing Akina out, may have hurt him. What other coaches with Texas ties would we consider?

When you name 3 co starters at every postition because you do not want to hurt anyones feelings, you are too soft To be a great head coach. Just like in life, there has to be accountability. Mack was a very good recruiter, begining to think maybe overrated, but under achiever as a coach. The two conference title we won were with future NFL players all over the roster. Time for a change but would not bet on it.
