Every other coach in the country is shaking their head at Mack

  • as they sit on their couch with their Thanksgiving meal in their stomach. Hell, Charlie Weis is downing a second deep fried turkey, and only takes a break from each gravy soaked bite to laugh at Mack.

How can the head coach of a program like Texas allow this to happen so consistently? Another game where Texas is unprepared, unemotional, and flat out pathetic. I cannot think of another coach that allows this to happen as much as Mack Brown. And especially in a game where if you win the next two, you have a shot at winning the conference and go BCS Bowling. That's criminal.

Imagine what Gary Patterson would do with this program. Or Art Briles. Nick Saban. Urban Meyer. Or anybody but Mack Brown. Doesn't it upset you that we are mired in mediocrity with Mack? To those of you who think Texas is primed for a run next season, remember Texas will in all likelihood have to win its conference. Statistically under Mack, that occurs twice every 15 seasons.

It sucks that we as fans have to live through such mediocrity because of the money Mack helps to bring in.

  • In my opinion this is why he has to go. He's had ample opportunity to win conference titles and shit the bed.

Even his title of coach February seems to be in jeopardy as well.

  • It's over. Really it is.

The assistants are pretty much out the door.

Half-hearted effort. It's not on the players.

Hats off to the seniors. They played their asses off.

  • Coach Snyder is licking his chops after watching tonight's disaster and K-State is going to bring a big hurt on Mr. Mack Brown next week. deadhorse

  • I see another 8-5 season after tonight's no show, K-State skull reaming us and some other also ran giving it to us. If it is the Holiday, I'll be in San Diego that week on vacation BUT I will not waste my time and money to go see it. I've had my fill of unprepared players and staff. If Brown really cares about UT, he will announce his retirement either before K-State or before he bowl game but I'll bet almost anything he won't. I usually go to most home games and Ou but not again while this staff is in place. I've seen where follks say we shouldn't be that way and that we should support the players BUT the only way a change happens if the $$$ slows since that is what the athletic department only cares about. The only coaches that are even remotely earning their pay is possibly Searles and Applewhite. The entire defensive side of the staff sucks and Harsin is inconsistent. Patterson is twice the coach Brown is. His team was ready, physical and prepared by a hungry coaching staff. The "We're Texas" attitude is KILLING us. The days of just showing us and winning are over. This sure reminds me of the mid 80's to mid 90's and now recruiting will start to go downhill. Get ready for a&m and probably tcu overtaking us in recruiting and on the field. Sad time for longhorn fans.

  • Really don't get anyone who says wait till next year because the team is young. Look what Patterson did with a freshman QB and a young defensive end? He just walked into DKR and got TCU their first win in Austin since 1967. Mack cannot get it done. We now have 3 years of proof. We were a Case miracle from losing to Kansas this year. This game was a mirror image of the KU game. A one dimensional offense just drove the ball down our throats and we couldn't do squat on offense. It's not going to get better until Mack is gone. He can't coach up the talent.

It is as if the stars have to line up for Mack to win the conference! I mean, the only two times he has done it, he ends up playing for the NC! I had a feeling this was going to happen. I have no confidence in Mack Brown to outcoach anybody in the country. He lost a game to a team with less talent because he got outcoached! It is ridiculous!

Patterson was only able to do that because our game planning was so terrible we let TCU do the only thing they can do with a freshman QB- run. We didn't load the box and force Boykin to beat us with his arm. We played the same trash defense that every other team ran on us.

There's a reason TCU had 4 conf losses going into that game. The other Big 12 coaches are competent enough to know that it's easy to stop that TCU offense. Our coaches were too dumb to realize that.
