  • I'm hoping some San Francisco flamer runs out of the crowd and gnaws Tiger's nuts off.

I loathe that jerk so much I refuse to buy ANYTHING from Nike.

Only thing I dislike about Tiger is that he apologized to the public. He should have told everyone not named Elan (forgive my mispelling her name as I'm sure I did) to 1)eat a bag of d**ks, 2)my personal life is none of your fu**ing business so go get your own lives and 3) I'm not responsible for your kids. YOU need to take the responsibility of being the perfect role model for them. Anyone who dosent like that can do just what my mistresses did and suck it! He would have surpassed Muhummad Ali,Malcolm X, and Ghandi on my hero list had he manned up like that. Lol. As a side note, I bet he no longer considers himself a "complication" Lol!

I have never been a Tiger fan, but what you suggest he do would NEVER happen for one reason. Money. You see all of his endorsements were offshoots of his supposed ability to be a role model. If he wanted to give up the entirety of something north of $100 million in payments, he could have I guess. It would certainly have gone against his it's all about me personality though.

It is a rare person that can say I didn't change my opinion of Tiger post-hooker revelations. He acted like a jerk before he got outed and he was the same jerk afterward.

You do realize that he is on the public payroll. Through the huge endorsements he does have to answer. And by the way, he has about as good a taste in sluts that Clinton did or does.

To me, that is one of the issues plaugeing our society. What an athlete does in his personal life is no of our business. If companies want to endorse him it should be on athletic talent alone, not some sort of moral guide. I find it highly hypocritical that you can find any level of porn you want at the push of a button, our kids are saturated with sexual images on regular tv let alone whats on cable, music is the same. Our society is in complete moral decay yet somehow Tiger is supposed to represent some sort of moral compass for the masses?? Get real. I'm not advocating what tiger did. I think it was wrong and I could not imagine putting my wife through that kind of pain. I just don't think he should have had to apologize to the public for a family matter. Just my opinion.

No, it was not. It was my point of view which is no more or less idiotic than anyone else's. You can disagree with someone without calling them or their POV idiotic. Secondly, I was kidding with all he should say, but I do believe he didn't have to have a press conference to apologize to the public. He didn't break the law. What happened was between he and his wife, not the world.

I get that. Nobody seems to get my point that it is wrong and part of the problem in this country for us as the public to elevate him or any other celebrity to that position. We should not look to them as role models for society. They are athletes, singers, actors, etc. That is it.

If you think its a cop out to not be the biggest influence in your child's life instead of someone they see on tv then I really don't know what else there is to say.

  • I will also add this to those saying he has to protect his endorsements, winning cures all in this country. I've seen it a million times. Kobe cheated and probably raped a chick in the process. Ray Lewis allegedly had a hand in killing someone. I would say those are far more egregious acts than Tiger nailing a few chicks and they seem to be doing fine. I will say it again. Tiger did not need to apologize to anyone but his wife. Just win baby and the endorsements will follow.

Kobe hasn't had a McDonald's ad since his issues came to light. As with Tiger, Nike is about the only company willing to go with him. He hasn't come away without blemish.

Ray Lewis never was an endorsement powerhouse and just fulfilled everyones's stereotype of the thug linebacker.

Your examples either prove the underlying issue with Tiger or are irrelevant.

Winning doesn't cure all. Tiger still has his legion of fanboys who will choose to ignore his behavior on and off the course because he wins. Like many others, I choose not to and do not buy Nike products.

I see Tiger has to make a comeback in order to win today. That is something he hasn't been historically great at. He likes to get ahead and let others choke or overreach. I think I will root for our Texas kids instead.
