I'd withhold judgement on Grant until we see how healthy he is next year. He was an excellent receiver coming out of high school before tearing up his knee. I don't see him ever being a dominant blocker though. Just not big enough.

Smythe is a true tight end. Not a big wide out who we have to wait on the grow and learn how to block. He's going to be close to 250 lbs. by August 2013. He will be ready to contribute from day one. Probably more so that Seals-Jones who is a more athletic McFarland.
