Does the entire 2013 HS class

  • get RS next year? Never seen so many injuries or guys coming back from injuries in one year.

Texas should concentrate solely on JUCO(s) and Robbie Rhodes the rest of the way, because it looks like they aren't going to get too much help from their current crop of recruits.

  • It's absolutely nuts and I've never seen anything like it, tbh. It seems like every week it's something new, not with just Texas' commits, but for the 2013 in-state recruiting class in general.

  • And much more than the Texas class, the state in 2013 has more injuries of note than any in my years in the business.

On Texas and finishing up in 2013, JUCO at OT, DE, LB and DT IMO. Agree. HS level at WR and/or a guy similar to Daje - in terms of role.

  • Gerry do you think Texas has any chance of getting Rhodes from Baylor to change his commitment ?

A chance, yes, but not sure it's a realistic good chance.

Baylor's win Saturday was huge for them IMO. They were starring 4-8/5-7 in the face, and now have a chance to go .500.

I think Texas just has to keep plugging away. Keep the communication going, which they are and see if they can get him on campus for an official visit.

Briles staying Waco could change several recruitments...just a what if, but what if Gundy takes Tenn or Ark as rumored (& is gaining more attn) & Briles goes to Okie St? Just me, but Briles would be the top choice in Stillwater over Holgerson

With all of the HC openings about to happen, Briles staying, or not staying in Waco is the most under the radar opportunity for Texas getting a few late recruits...IMVHO
