Did Auburn buy Westerman away from us?

  • I can't wait for the day the NCAA is caught taking a pay-off to impose far less severe sanctions against a school than should be imposed...only a matter of time

I realize the NCAA is under staffed, but why not hire more investigators and use the $$$ from fines (Universities or someone like Tressell), to pay the investigators salaries. If they find one big case a year, that lone fine should take care of several investigators. Obviously something needs to be done.

I am very wary of looking at sanctions as a potential revenue booster for the NCAA. But I guess if it gets them to get off their asses and do something, then I am for it.

...they just need to beef up their investigative unit tremendously then start laying the wood big time to offenders. Throw a couple of death penalties around and check everyone intensely from here on out and people will fall in line.

Take the billions you're making and invest some in a lot of new investigators who will be paid very well to dig into everything. I shall be the first to submit my resume : )

Very good idea...in theory, but will NEVER happen.

  • I talked to Quan Cosby about Darrell Scott when that happened and all he told me was, "Momma got a sweet job at a bank in Colorado." Mhmmm..... Boosters?

  • I have no sympathy for kids that go to Auburn like westerman who have to know the hammer will prob soon drop, but dont seem to care. that program is filthy and obviously has been for years. It would be more shocking if no money was involved in his recruitment than not. It seems Boosters there run wild handing out money

this is what I was talking about earlier. Mack even said something about how we can't compete when they are dirty.

job offer was pulled when they were outed by basically everyone. CU sucks at cheating.

What was the name of the bank? Who was the booster/coach who secured the job for her? Was someone to be fired/replaced, or was a position going to be created for her?

In the 4/5 years since this went down, no one has answered any of these questions. For something that was so widely known, there's very few details.

  • I predict that next year will be a disaster for Auburn. Maybe comparable to Texas this year or worse. Auburn losing 35 players including their star quarterback and the majority of their offensive and defensive lines will hurt them significantly. The off-the-field distractions such as this will have an effect too. Plus the fact that they are playing against SEC competition will not help either. 5-7 or worse. How much will they have to pay to keep all their recruits?
