Just a little trip down memory lane.

I love these kind of look-back reviews.
It puts in perspective what a crap shoot recruiting is and what BS the Star system is.

I think the most I heard about him at Oklahoma State was when he dropped 30 pounds in one offseason by drinking a gallon of water every day. Something like that, anyway.

Wow I played against Pleasent and Cade. Cant beilve that was 10 years ago.

You dare to dis Robert Killebrew...
I met Jorrie Adams at some all star game. At that time, he was the most physically imposing human being I'd ever seen in person. I also remember XLK. I would never say this to his face, but he talked and walked like a fat lady with curlers.

Jorrie Adams was the biggest wuss, I remember laughing at him being a five star. Easy to see Bryant was the player

Wow I had forgotten how good Earvin Taylor was in HS. I coached his pee wee basketball team and summer camp circa 1995 I believe and he was a good kid. His brother was the opposite, but Earvin was good. Even though he went aggy I wish he would have made the NFL

I think this was Fran's first recruiting class & the Aggs were all geeked out over Adams & some oversized wr that Rivals had ranked to highly. The Aggs class that year looked great on paper based on Rivals star rankings but was a total flame out. I don't think Jorrie Adams ever played a down for them.

He did. They moved a "five star OT" to defense within about a week.

Fran's classes didn't get a whole lot better after that, save for his last one that produced two top ten picks (Von Miller and Ryan Tannehill).

Everyone in P-ville knew Erik Hardeman was knee deep in some bad stuff even before he came to Texas.
It's amazing that the staff didn't do more homework on him.

Chris not sure if you were there at the time, but what ever became of Reggie Madu? I heard almost nothing after the track incident.

Jeff....that name doesn't ring a bell. I only coached in the Pville district 4 years at one of the middle schools. Hardeman went thru the middle school where I worked at and a lot of people knew the shenanigans that he was into.
