Darius White to transfer to A&M?

Hearing from multiple sources that UT wide receiver Darius White will transfer, Texas A&M the likely destination.

Probably for the best he moves on, always had potential but didn't want to work hard enough to maximize it.

I was excited when he committed. Surprised he's really done nothing. He's a classic example of "Potential doesn't pay the rent.".

Would Mack allow him to transfer to A&M? I know they don't play anymore, but still.

At the moment I can't do anything but laugh. Who transfers from one of these schools to the other....especially from UT to Aggy. Dumbfounded.

At least he has the good sense to realize he has been recruited over and will go get a fresh start...Probably hoping for a lot of 4-5 wide sets with Sumlin...

It really doesn't matter to me. He hasn't done anything since he's been here. Best of luck to Darius no matter where he goes.

Before this year Mack would never release him to do that. Now they're the SEC's garbage so who cares. If he thinks the stifling defensive backs of Baylor, KU, etc. who shut his ass down weren't enough of a challenge then he can try his luck against the Bamas and LSUs

Mack has never seemed to put restrictions on kids when they transfer. If they don't want to be here, he releases them and wishes them well. Can anyone provide evidence from the past that he has restricted where kids can transfer when he releases them from their scholarship? I don't think it exists.

Didn't Sherrod Harris want to transfer to UCLA and Mack talked him out of it? Seem to remember that being a big rumor before the 2009 season.

It's the tweet after the Darius White comment that's a bit more interesting to me. "Also, UT's chances with Denton Ryan DE Mario Edwards (No. 4 in nation and committed to FSU) shot up last night. Could be the new favorite".

You sit out two years if you transfer to a school inthe same conference. That's why it rarely happens.

Why does everyone keep repeating that it is a step down?? I never seen any player transferring out from Texas and calling it a step up.
