I hate to see kids get hurt. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Yes,. Gerry reported this yesterday. Hopefully he will be back fully healthy by 2013. I'm curious how he tore it running track though.

Per his father...
"He'll actually be in Norman on Mar. 13 to do the surgery. The Sooner medical staff will do the surgery and the rehab. "They have also (for rehab) put us together with someone in our area. They have put us in connection with Texas A&M and Texas."

He did it in the long jump and actually won the event on the jump in which he tore his ACL with a jump of 21 feet and 10 inches

I really like Brooks. He is going to be a solid player for the sooners. I don't believe the curse applies on Brooks because he was never commited to the horns. We got into the game to late. I respect a kid who was a horn fan growing up and when the horns didnt offer he commited elsewhere and he stuck to it. Here's to a fast recovery Mr. Brooks.
