Antwuan Davis 10.54 and 21.29 second in both
Tony Brown 10.59 and 13.65
Wolf Mahler 47.65 first
Lorenzo Joe 48.80 fifth
Aaron sharp 21.19 first
Kendall Sheffield 13.97 second and 37.56 first
Donta foreman 21.76 prelims
Rod Bernard 11.22 ans 21.78 prelims
UT lady hoops signee Nekia Jones won both throws
Antwuan Davis is gonna be another one akina's 1st round picks. Elite speed and he's physical, But I've heard he's a little to stiff in his backpedal to be a corner at this level.

My girl sprinter made state in the 100 & 200 again out of Region 2-5A! ;-) She finished 2nd in both even after having to run the 4x1 prelims/finals. And...almost had another one who was 3rd in the open 200 as well.
Been a looonnng day!

Lorenzo Joe going :48 range in the 400 is something I love to see. You have to be a pretty damn good athlete to do that.

Wow that is great!! Where does she go to hs?
How well do longer sprint times, like the 400 and 200, translate to on-field football speed?
Are Bernard's higher 100m times more problems with high-end "sprint endurance", or do they indicate he might not really be a true 4.3-type as some reported?

The bigger Foreman going sub-22 is impressive. Anyone know if his issue is grades or something off the field?
When Gresham decommits he's a candidate to fill that FB/Hback spot.
Jamaal Charles and Jaxon Shipley had great hurdle times at the same age as Sheffield.

I would say the 100/200 and long jump translates better to Fball speed than the 400 does. But elite athletes are all pretty damn fast and could be trained as either a short or long sprinter with the right coaching. 400 runners will have more speed endurance which will translate to stronger and longer/deeper routes without getting tired as much as the game progresses. However track is all straight line speed. Football is fast sprints with quick change of direction given the particular route.
If Lorenzo Joe is running a 48 quarter, then he mostly likely could be trained to run a sub 11 sec or sub 22 sec sprinter in the 100 & 200 with the proper coaching.
That was a far better answer than I could have provided. Congratulations to you and Judy on her qualifying
I don't think Bernard would laser or FAT in the 4.3's, but just me.
I think he's got short space quickness, burst and acceleration in spades. Very quick and explosive for 20-30 yards IMO. Doesn't mean he can't go 60 at the next level, but he doesn't appear to have the 50-60 yard speed at this point.
I also think he's faster with a football and things happening fast around him than running a forty or sprint.

I believe you will end up being on to something...
On to something about grades holding him back from offers or on to something about a potential future landing spot?
And that is so much more than a sub 4.4 40 time. Vision, COD and breaking in and out of cuts. He's got potential, that's for sure.
Definitely like his potential.
The ability to make plays in space is something severely lacking at Texas, though Daje is a great 1st step.
can you be a little more vague. thanks.
Nebraska's S&C staff published a comprehensive trainining study of thousads of D-1 plays, and found that the longest straight-line distance was on average 7 yards.
Celina's 4 X 400 ran a sub 3:17 with Nathan Elliott 2015 QB with a 49 split.
I had the pleasure of watching this race live. Weather could of been better though. One plays for Redskins, other for the Raiders.
