This can happen at any university so I am not going to dog pile here. I just wonder if some of those recruits will have second thoughts about being a Frog.
Think about what you just typed.
Will it help Texas? Very little, if at all. It should help Texas Tech, Baylor and Oklahoma State.
didn't one of our jr day recruits just say Texas jr day was business like and boring but the TCU jr day was great fun?
ok, now snarky comment aside, I feel really sorry for Patterson. Maybe i am naive but he seemed like a fine guy who had really brought this team to a much better place. Unless he just had his head in the sand, he deserved better, as did TCU as a whole.
I think that was the DT Manning.
I'll never understand this kind of logic. Texas is currently competing with TCU on and off the field. Something bad happened to them, therefore the balance of the status has shifted. Texas inherently benefits. There is no circumstance in which this can be presented and it doesn't wind up serving their adversaries, of which Texas is now the biggest one.
This isn't a lab with hypotheticals. It's a real problem with real upside for the opponents, and if you don't think this will come up with recruits and be an issue with their parents, then I don't know what could possibly sway you. Not only that, it's also something that is going to take focus and work away from recruiting and football for the entire staff and remaining roster. It is a big score for everyone else.
My guess is that Daje Johnson is very happy he was offered by Texas right about now....

Understand that ecstasy can be pretty entertaining/great fun.

How many head-to-head battles have we lost to them? I don't think it does anything for Texas.
One good reason for that is until this year they had not played in a BCS conference. The calibre of recruits that visit TCU is beginning to change. Before they were getting our leavings. Their improved record and showing in 2010 and Patterson getting more rep on the networks is improving their position, but TCU's admission into the B-12 is a factor for the first time. Their problems are going to help Texas teams in general. I don't see it as a huge factor with the Horns, but it only takes losing one 4-star recruit to the Frogs to make the assertion true.
