I did not know exactly what that meant, so I asked The Google, and now as mcb0703 said above, "There is so much in this thread that I did not want or need to know." I am still not sure that I know exactly what it means ... but, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! ;)
Yep. What is his sleeve length? 30"
Impressive none the less.
Lmao. You win
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
Here are the bench press records according to Wiki. I did not know anything about bench press shirts (see second attachment). Don't know if the shirt this guy is wearing is a bench shirt or not, but if it isn't, his lift is close to a world record without a bench shirt. Impressive, either way.
And, Kelso, no, I do not think they make bench shirts for Little Willy! OK! I'm sorry! That is the last joke.
One of my roomates in college was a powerlifter, and his girlfriend was ranked #3 in the world at the time in her weight class. I want to say that she was in the 98 lb class, but maybe it was 105. I can't remember. It's been too long. Anyway, we'd go work out together and she'd just embarrass me at anything other than benchpress. It's ok, she was embarrassing the rest of the regular stiffs too.
That team won quite a few national championships and it always blew my mind to watch those bars bending like they were rubber on the squats. My roomate later became the head coach and won a few titles before deciding to pursue his masters degree.
Neither here nor there, but somewhat related.
I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.
Bobby, it is just past midnight Saturday/Sunday. We will take what we can get! ;)
In looking at the video, I'm guessing yes on the shirt and definitely on the belt. It is kind of strange how the coaches/ spotters make sure the shirt and shoulders are arranged perfectly before the lift.
No matter, 700 LBs is amazing on the bench.
Yes, especially considering that the kid is still in high school. It kind of is amazing that a shirt could makes such a difference ... you kind of expect to see blinking lights and cyborg like straps, huh?
I would love anyone to test him for steroids! It would stop all the haters. Lol he stripped at the meet on the floor so they could have THSP could check equipment.

That's his dad spotting him not a coach. Its to pull his pecks out of the shirt to push weight up. Shirt is to protect his shoulders from dislocation and rippin same for extra long wrist wraps.
Matt started benching for enjoyment in 8th grade. Had acl surgery after football injury so that was all he could do while waiting on knee to heal. He has a real dedication to the sport.
At my age, the term "Roid Rage" takes on a whole new meaning! ;)
