As many have surmised, Nick Marshall is a Juco QB the Longhorns have showed some interest in. He is one of the jucos we alluded to this morning.
However, I am told Texas may or may not continue its pursuit and evaluation of Tanner McEvoy and Marshall. They are also looking at another juco prospect at QB.
One thing that is worth discussion is the potential effect of taking a Juco prospect with QBs in the pipeline. I'm not saying Texas coaches are or should be concerned, but it is a very real factor to consider.

You guys are on it Bobby, the Juco thing does not make much sense to me but I am sure there are reasons. Not sure why we don't go after a guy like Kenny Hill. A&M managed to get two qb's in one year so should we.
I like Marshall better than McIvoy.

They haven't decided. To report otherwise would be inaccurate.
Yeah i re-read your post.
Sorry for the call out.
We are fools if we don't offer Marshall. Watch his highlights. We would be lethal with him. He is so dynamic running the ball. Why not take him. He has 2 years left. Don't get it.
They probably should have considered that before doing so. Last year it was Bo Wallace and then not even an offer. Now this year, these guys might not even be offered. I tell you what. Mack knows how to build confidence at the QB position like I know how to speak Mandarin (I don't).
Mack is stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid.
II think the JUCO route signals a few things to me IMO. One, the QB position is back to being "up in the air" again based the inconsistent play of Ash and Case being Case (what you see is what you get). I also think it points to Mack realizing that he might have one more year to get the program turned around and he's unsure whether it can happen in time with the QB's we currently have on the roster. There's no question if you go the JUCO route as Bobby as already mentioned, you run the risk of losing out on what "could be" better prospects down the road and not to mention those that are already committed to the program.
I think based on what we've seen this year and Mack apparently deciding to return, it wouldn't shock me if we did go after one of these QB's. Based on the video I've seen, put me down in the Marshall camp for now,

Sorry but our current "pipeline" is crap. given the choice I would take these two jucos over every QB we have on campus and roll with those two next year rather than anyone we have.
I think Overstreet can do it better.
Honestly, based on what? Hope? His cool dreads?
I want nothing more than for Jalen to be successful here but nothing in his highlights even compares to these two guys.
What they have shown on the LHN of Overstreet has not been pretty....
Mack is wishy washy and always has been when it comes to QBs. Pick a QB and stick with him.
When people are desperate their actions don't usually follow a rational or predictable pattern. Something to keep in mind.
It just sounds like they're not trying to offend any current or future QB's by taking a JUCO....If I remember a recent post that stated that "no player is bigger than the team", why does that not apply in this situation??? Obviously Ash or McCoy are not ready to win ballgames and Swoopes or Brewer are nowhere near close to being ready to do so either. If one of these guys can come in next year and win, then offer them! If Ash, McCoy, Swoopes or Brewer get offended and transfer, so be it, but we need results now!

Well, I like his dreads.
That's no way to talk about Black Shipley.
Dreads= automatic success in football. Dread power
Can someone confirm Marshall's season stats? Someone on shaggy said he had more INT's than TD's this season.
Yikes. 10 games:
18 TD - 19 INT
