For what it is worth, Texas became the first Football program to generate over $100 million in revenue ($103.3 million). The department as a whole set a new record as well with $163.3 million in revenue for the most recent reporting year.
by contrast, Aggie generated $44.4 million in football revenue.
From the USA Today:
you should have had the one with him and dodds hugging
I think we can squeeze out a few pennies for a world class scouting department.

No one liked the rich kid with no athletic ability...time for the bottom line to show on the field.
Really? This is too ridiculous to respond to in public.
So if we have ass loads of money, why not throw ten million a year at saban ??Think what that number would be if we were relevant again!!!!!
Is there a controller or a CFO in the house? I'm about ready to call capital BS on this!
Texas athletics is sucking the place up in just about all relevant categories, and the University wants to report growing athletic revenues. Maybe we should lose every football game next season and play in an empty DKR. Revenues should really soar then!
BS. Something is amiss and it smells like job protection or something.
I don't buy thos numbers either.
Wonder how much we would have if we were actually good?
This feels just like how being a Cowboys fan feels. Weeee, you have a lot of money but you suck on the field. At least you can lord your money over opposing fans. I really wish on the field accountability mattered over revenue.

Are you an idiot in real life?
Even though I think the odds are low on it, I'd like to see Texas start a Mens Scholarship soccer program.
I know title IX and stuff, but sure...give the girls another sport and put in a Mens soccer team.
I have been dreaming of that for a long time.
Trying to think of what underperforming cozy coach Deloss would hire though.
Are you kidding, I'm wealthy! Let me cook up a financial statement for you.
Okay, so you are an idiot. USA Today submits FOIA requests to all public universities and complies a very useful database on AD revenues and expenses for all the institutions that have an obligation to release data. The article highlights Texas because we are lapping the pack in revenues. USA Today solicited the exact same information from Alcorn State. Texas wasn't reporting anything. It was responding to a public records request.
Let me guess. You have a theory on who shot Kennedy and the real story on 9/11 don't you?
You being naive doesn't make me a conspiracy theorist.
