Gets their fourth loss today and if they do not make a monster comeback they will finish the regular season with five losses.
What is record for most regular season losses of a preseason #1? Are thy close to the record?
I wonder how well that class stays together after all this.
will watch their recruiting class closely. should be interesting to see how they respond.
I remember in 2008 Georgia was pre ranked #1 and the finished with five loses I believe, it may have been six though
I think one big difference is that Kiffin is now a dead man walking. I don't think Georgia was looking to get rid of Richt that season and there was perceived relative coaching stability.
Interesting to see that even with the highly ranked recruiting classes USC has continued to get in the face of their sanctions and scholly penalties, their depth, especially on defense has been their undoing. Even the best #1 players get tired or injured. Very little depth is costing the USC program dearly. I think the sanctions are very effective at punishing USC for what they allowed to happen under Pete Carroll's reign and subsequent bolt for the NFL before the Reggie Bush penalties hit. NCAA got one right, even if it did take 4+ years and is punishing innocent players. USC got what it deserved...

USC needs a victory next week against #1 Notre Dame to put any kind of positive spin on this season, but who knows what will happen with the Trogan's quarterback play next week?
USC's underperformance this season doesn't look that much different from Texas in terms of offensive/defensive yardage, losing marquee games, and being out of the championship discussion.

You'll need to do better if you want to make it the big leagues of trolling.
Yes. That Georgia team had the #1 ranked o-line going into the season and halfway through the year, the entire two-deep on the offensive line had suffered injuries. I can't remember a worse run of luck with such a crucial group.
"I've heard some of our fans say, 'We were always an SEC school. We just didn't know it," athletic director Bill Byrne said.
Yep, agree 100%. That was a brutal stretch of injuries for one teams OL.
It's more likely that you and I happen to share differing standards of what's "Texas Good".
I am impressed with your use of the name Trogan. Not many remember that faux pas.
They blamed it on their Oline coach, whoever that guy was
As horrifying and humiliating as OU was, I would not trade a more competitive loss to them for four total losses at this point.
i believe they finished 10-3
