Texas has way more commits in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl than the Under Armour All-American Game. All 7 Commits in that game are on the West team. They include:
-#25 DB Antwuan Davis
-#41 LB Deoundrei Davis(Will Not Participate)
-#6 WR Jake Oliver
-#76 OL Kent Perkins
-#55 OL Jake Raulerson
-#14 DL A'Shawn Robinson
-#1 QB Tyrone Swoopes
A couple of quick thoughts on the U.S. Army All-American game for a few reasons. 1, I think the Army All-American game will be a much more effective game recruiting wise for Texas than the Under Armour All-American game. I think this game will go A LONG WAY in keeping A'Shawn Robinson with this class. Also, take a quick look at some of the guys on the West squad with these 7:
-#99 DL Isaiah Golden
-#84 WR Torii Hunter Jr.
-#92 DL Justin Manning
-#2 DB Kameron Miles
-#44 LB Mike Mitchell
-#56 DL Scott Pagano
-#86 DL Torrodney Prevot
-#89 WR Ricky Seals-Jones
Not necessarily saying that these guys are guys Texas could land or even are still recruiting, I just know these are guys that Texas has shown interest in in the past and you never know what can happen when you're in San Antonio with 7 Texas commits and you notice how the 7 of them are some of the best 7 there. You might wanna try and get a piece of that. Just guys of note, some of them may become possible flip candidates depending on how the recruiting cycle finishes out.
Thanks for the update man.. When is the game played?

I like your enthusiasm, but NONE of those guys are going to flip to UT. Mostly because we have stopped recruiting them, and then you have the fact that they chose to play somewhere else for a reason.
And, not to bring more negativity, but wasn't Thomas Johnson with all of the UT commits last year and having a great time, then as soon as he got home he decommitted? Year before the big TE from Washington was with all the UT commits for his entire bowl, only to commit to UW once he got home.
Never said anything close to any of those guys flipping. Also the Thomas Johnson situation last year was extremely unique if you know the story. Most kids in that situation would reaffirm their commitments, and I expect A'Shawn to do the same and be an absolute monster in the middle for the next 3, yes you heard me right 3 years.
Really? Did I read this incorrectly?
"Just guys of note, some of them may become possible flip candidates depending on how the recruiting cycle finishes out."
If so, sorry!
May become possible flip candidates is not the same thing as "these guys are guys who texas can flip". If you look across the state of Texas, there are 100s of possible flip candidates for Texas. Following recruiting as long as I have anything can happen. Surely you must know that. I'm sure you were one of the ones saying we had a shot at Shiro Davis last year right Hoops?

No, I wasn't saying we were going to land Shiro, but I wasn't ruling it out because we were still recruiting him. I could be wrong, but I feel certain that we will not get any of the guys you listed to flip. We have stopped recruiting them, which makes it difficult to get them to flip.
