Jeff, thanks for getting by to see Somari Wright. It's my understanding that Manny Diaz also went by to see him. It makes me wonder to what extent the UT coaches follow the threads on this site. Do you have any idea?
I think it an interesting question since it could allow coaches to get talent ideas outside their usual high school coaching connections. By the way, I'm impressed that Diaz did this. Cameron Yoe is a 2A program and Coach Diaz probably has a million other things to do. Parenthetically, Steve Edmond also comes from a 2A program doesn't he?

I would guess that is part of Sally and Kasey's jobs
I think that coaches should and do peruse any and all sites that cover recruiting, some probably more than others.

I think it an interesting question since some contributors to this site (myself excluded) have remarkable insights into some of the sports and some know of athletes who'd otherwise pass under the radar.
By the way, what first attracted me to your site was the relative absence of pejoratives like imbecile, moron and idiot. To an extent I sense that too many pejoratives have begun to creep into threads. Not sure whether you can monitor civility or not but it detracts from the quality of communication.
I heard they check papahorn's posts on this board to find out what their future and current players are saying on twitter.
I am actually Chris Jessie working under cover.
Don't you f%$#ing dare touch that football.
"I've heard some of our fans say, 'We were always an SEC school. We just didn't know it," athletic director Bill Byrne said.
Then let me ask if Texas pays you for your service? I hope they do Bobby... then again, if they do I don't want to hear it's $25K!!!
They follow them fairly close. They knew immediately about the Cottrell 3 am fiasco. You'd be stupid not to follow.
So those voice messages from Dodds on realignment weren't prank calls?
I remember a long time ago when I was a member of Orangebloods, that someone posted that he ran into Sally Brown and she stated she hated that site, don't remember the specifics. But this was around the time that UT lost to OU for the 5th year in a row.
The athletic department pays several employees to monitor all of the sites as well as facebook and twitter and report stuff back to them
A member of the athletic department was outed on OB last year (Air Coryell was the handle I believe). It was hilarious.
A Skyline HS staff member was outed as well with some very, very negative comments about UT.
No doubt UT reads all the sites.
maninblack = Bennie Wylie
I am not Mack Brown. Seriously I am not. At least I was not Mack in 2010. Ask me again at the end of the 2012 season.
i actually believe the athletic department gives incorrect information to some sites(one in particular) knowing they'll do a story on it and be wrong. imo it's done intentionally and because they don't like some people.
do they track this and other sites? you bet they do. most have someone do it for them is what i've heard.
I mentioned this on Orangebloods several years ago and was roundly ridiculed. I remember my buddy echeese being particularly brutal in his criticism of my comments.
I've always thought the coaching staff would be remiss if they didn't keep up with these sites.
recruits don't read the boards either.
Just in case...
Hi Coach Diaz, big fan.
