One of my favorite players. He showed in the spring game that he is just a damn good football player. I like the decision to get him on the field in any way possible until he locks down a CB spot
anyone who saw Thomas play at Copperas Cove knows he is pure game changer. Very quick and fast. Great move by the staff.
I'm partial but he needs to be on the field in some capacity. I'm excited he's KOR. He'll take a few back for touchdowns.
I think the same way about Thomas.
Not to hijack the thread but I feel the same way about Overstreet. Some guys are so athletic, you just have to find a spot for them.
The staff needs to take some notes on how WVU used Tavon Austin in several places this season when it comes to not only Overstreet and Thomas; but several other players on the roster.
I know that Austin didn't play defense (very small), but was just too good of an athlete to not use several places and the Longhorns have a hand full of those type player that they could use in the same way on offense or defense that their opponents will not be prepared for.
For instance, why not Redshirt Swoopes and use not only Overstreet; but also Mykkele some time in the Wild to change things up and save a year eligibility for Swoopes and let him LEARN how to become a really good passer?
McCoy and Connor Brewer give the Longhorns PLENTY of depth for throwing QBs and Overstreet and several other RBs and athletes give the Horns PLENTY of options for the Wild on offense.
Hope the staff really uses their heads when it comes to Swoopes in 2013.
