"Don't know. Never had one"
-- D. Royal-Mack Brown how to coach a team after a losing season
Tough day for McElroy. Not given an error on that DP, but would have been his second. One run gets in.
Out @ 2B, McElroy couldn't hold on to Brooks throw. 1 Out. Run scores. On the Corners.
Ball goes throw Jeremy's legs, runner moves to 2B. PB
Duke gets a SO. 2 Out.
He doesn't get into position well at all.
Don't be afraid to ride the lightning.
UCSB working into Texas' lead here in the top of the 5th. 2RBI single to right by Nesovic brings the score to 9-4.
Craig--'I can never remember a team Bunt w/ 2 Outs like UCSB does'
Bill--'They are a confident bunch. They think they can definitely make it happen'
Cox coming in for Duke. Not a great showing.
Gotta run. Have a good one. Hook em.
This has been one of the slowest games I've ever covered.
We're over the two hour mark and not even in the bottom of the 5th inning yet.
Focus Chet. These kids are already thinking about their plans for the evening.
West coast baseball at it's finest.
Cox gets a ground ball to second to end the inning. UCSB sent 8 to the plate and got three runs across and Texas used three pitchers - Thornhill, Duke, Cox.
Bottom 5th: 9-4 Texas

Really his 3rd mental lapse of the day. The 1st one didn't hurt the horns though.
Horns go quickly around a Johnson single. Johnson's two-out single puts him a triple away from the cycle.
Top 6th: 9-4
Let's hope this pace keeps up. UCSB goes down in order to move things to the bottom of the 6th. It appears Cameron Cox will be the pitcher of record if everything holds (Thornhill not eligible since he didn't go 5 full innings)
Bottom 6th: 9-4 Texas
In other news, the same Stanford team that swept Texas may be swept by UNLV at home this weekend.
Now that's a home town scorer.
Haha...There was a debate here in the press box for a minute before they ruled it a hit.
Weiss scores from third on the non-error to put Texas up 10-4.
With Montalbano's big day at the plate, he is now tied for 4th on the team in RBIs at 4.
Montalbano and Carter both go down to end the sixth for Texas but the Horns add another to their lead.
