I know it's a football school but, man can we do any better than talk about Avery Bradley and Myck? Has anyone heard anything on any possible recruits coming in? I know about Harris but what else? Dying for some basketball news other than the Erwin center.
Gonna be an all-guard class...2 commits with Texas leading for combo guard Yancy-Harris...I wouldn't expect anymore
Not a bad class really. I hope the point guard has a good handle and can make his free throws. Sunshine pumper that I am, I see a marked improvement next year with the freshmen getting a full offseason of conditioning and study.
I don't think you are being too much of a sunshine pumper. We might as well think as positively as we can ... or I guess we could just go ahead and cancel next season ... regarding recruiting stuff ... I heard that Isaiah Taylor has as good or better handle as Myck. Some have said that he cannot shoot. But, then, neither can Myck. He is listed as two inches taller than Myck. I also heard that he mght be as quick as Myck ... dayum! I almost feel a poem coming on ... Naw, just gas! Somebody said we might be looking at a transfer or international stretch three or four ... or not. Somebody else either said or thought that we might find something out when we get some news ... or not.
And ... are you referring to ... The Drum? ;)

I am hoping Harris can penetrate and dish plus be able to create his own shot. We really needed another taller PF
A quick stretch three with a nice outside shot and drive to the basket would be nice ... we haven't had one of those in a while.
In many ways, that is what McClellan was supposed to bring, though he was a little on the short side to be a 3 all the way, and Croaker definitely is. Maybe we could put Croaker on the yoga routine so he could stretch to 6'6" or so. Size and athleticism combined at 3 and 4 have been things largely absent for many years, but someone like that isn't going to suddenly drop in our collective lap. We had Hamilton for a couple of years, but that's about it as far as 3s with size and quicks go. Papi will play a lot of his minutes there next year, but he isn't the quickest guy on the court.
We're going to run a lot of three guard lineups next year, I'm guessing. Big wings who are scoring threats may present a serious problem.

Yes, I agree. But your comments are about a thread other than the one to which you responded. ;)
Whatever happened to that Durant fellow? I miss him.
I miss all the guys that left early for the draft.
I heard he was still playing ball up north somewhere. I wonder how he is doing? I also heard that somebody might be transferring out. That might open up a spot for someone to transfer in ... sounds something like musical rosters, doesn't it?
Keith Frazier reportedly is going to commit to Texas Tech.
That blows my mind.
Check me out on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/247Blake
Is it better for Frazier to commit to TTU & then have his HS coach get an asst job @ TTU? Or vice versa? Frazier update below from SportsDayDFW...
"Kimball guard Keith Frazier will commit to Texas Tech but apparently delay his scheduled Thursday announcement, according to a report from the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal."
"Frazier was originally slated to announce his decision between Tech and SMU at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Irving. When contacted Wednesday night, Kimball coach Snoop Johnson said he had not heard of the reported announcement delay."
"One of the most highly touted basketball recruits in the country, Frazier reportedly contacted Texas Tech officials Wednesday to let them know his desire to play in Lubbock next year."
"Frazier is rated as a five-star prospect and the No. 22 overall player in the nation by Rivals.com. He averaged 23.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range as a senior. He was also named SportsDay's 2013 area player of the year."
TTU contacted Tubby Smith...
Wow! Will it be Bobby Knight all over again? Does Tubby come with his own top recruit? Who in their right mind would want to go to Lubbock? Inquiring minds want to know!!!
