Anyone else think if Texas played West Virginia next week and TCU back in October, they'd be 10-1 going into the KSU game? I think if Texas played the way they played these past two games against West Virginia they win that game almost outright.
Agree. And what the heck has happened to West Virginia? They are completely collapsing these past three weeks
If we don't pucker up 1st and 10 at the 12 yard line I think we only have one loss at this point,
But what a loss it was...
It is embarrassing that we lost to that pathetic team! Texas should have taken advantage of their weak secondary, instead of trying to force the run all Damn game!!
We might be 10-1, but we'd still have an OU mudhole in our backside the size of the Death Star.
It takes losses for Mack to learn his lessons. If it wasn't West Virginia it would have been another team. Mack went into turtle mode in the second half of that game and that is what lost it for us.
Interesting. I would've picked having the D step up during a 4th down.
The defense lost that game.
It makes a huge difference when all cylinders are clicking. Depending primarily on the defense (last year) and on the offense (earlier this year) was like walking a tight rope when something. We did get lucky winning most of the close games. If both do their parts, then it gives some leeway for mistakes and still be able to win the game as we've seen in the last 2 games. I agree that we could have beat WVU if we played well on both sides of the ball...
I disagree with you there. The defense actually gave Texas a chance to win. I know they gave up a ton of points, but they gave the offense a chance to win. Mack Brown decided to go conservative, rushing Bergeron from the 12 and then the bad snap. I thought that, had they thrown the ball more, they would have won that game.
