I haven't really given up on Ash yet. More than anything, he's shown great progress this year and he's tough. I feel like if he makes similar jumps over the offseason then he could be really good. Idk why we all (and the coaches) seem to have given up on him.
I thought Case played well tonight. He pressed a lot in the second half when we started getting down.
The defense reverted to true Diaz form the second half. Over and over the LBs looked completely lost, leaving guys uncovered or not even looking at the LOS when the ball was snapped.
We had the talent to win this game and the TCU game. The team's attitude is so bad right now. We really need of a leader or two on each side of the ball. I don't see any leaders right now AT ALL. That goes for both the coaches and players.
Here's the five-cent answer: No.
And you're right about the loss feeling middle of the road ... even our losses are average.
You see! There are still plenty of friends of the program out there!
We know T. Boone and Barry Switzer are good friends of the program.

I do not know how Mack can objectively look at this and say that he clearly has us on a path to anything but more of the same in 2013. It does not appear that significant progress has been made at quarterback, safety, or on either line. We took a step back at place kicking, corner and linebacker. A new defensive coordinator will help but the problems go beyond that. There are still other holes that need immediate help. One in particular looms large.
This program needs a restart.

Texas ran it once yesterday and handed off out of the formation.
I'm not sure where it's gone and why they haven't used it more.
There weren't a ton of short yardage or goalline opportunities though.

I will disagree with you on qb. As poor as Ash played against OU, KU, and TCU, he made significant progress from last year. This is unquestionably the best qb play we've had since Colt. Now granted, that's not saying much...but it is saying there was significant progress. Still a ways to go though. Hopefully he takes the next step this offseason.
Inexcusable that the O Line does not improve next season. Questions remaining are at signal caller and TE. Some at depth in the Receiving corps.

Questions lingering of the limited use of the Wildhorn, weapons....
The problem at the QB position is, continued mistakes...costing good chances at Victories.
