I could see some H-back but not a true FB.
Keep in mind that Malcolm Brown is unreliable due to health. That makes Bergeron no. 2 in my book right now.

Oh please. You can't pass off the Kansas game as a trap game. We didn't show up for nearly the entire month of October.
Until daje learns how to block
Thought Tevin Jackson made a couple nice plays as well.
Did Texas throw more on 1st Dwn in this game?
"Don't know. Never had one"
-- D. Royal-Mack Brown how to coach a team after a losing season
Hope someone posts the "Long Bomb" play to Mike Davis on You Tube. Would like to see it.
Seems like it might be a good decision to RS 28, but, I'm thinking the staff has seen several injuries to RBs and if Texas lost 32, no depth to run the ball effectively.
I don't see Texas redshirting Malcolm Brown. I guess they could but if he can play, then he should play IMO.
Nice to finally see some Gang tackling
It's too late. He played in 4 games.
Bobby, I think in order to be able to run the ball up the middle we need a better center. Can the kid from Celina step in to that role or are we even looking at the Jr College level to fill that need. I am tired of seeing Espinosa getting blown up in the backfield.
Here's the broadcast version:
Ball is snapped.
Camera in Ash
Ball is released
Camera stays on Ash
When the camera finally switches, Davis is jogging toward the end zone... The gets flagged for holstering the guns that were up.
Side bar: why does a 20 something year old player get flagged for something small like that and a grown adult doesn't get flagged for throwing his clip board all over the field?
Loved that block he threw to take out the defenders legs on the Gray run to the L, I believe in the 4th Q. Textbook.
I don't see Raulerson being strong enough or big enough to take over that role next year.
At the same time, I think someone like Andrew Billings or Darius James have that kind of ability.
Give a game ball to the coaching staff. I have been vocal in my displeasure, so I should be vocal when they do it right. I have not seen them this fired up or the team so passionate in a longtime. Texas was jawing, hitting, and even got a couple personal fouls. Generally, I would frown on some of that behavior, but today it made me smile. Passion and confidence can be infectious.
Good post. I really enjoyed Mack's reaction when Gray got the final first down.
Can somebody with a little more football knowledge than myself please explain the advantage that is supposed to be gained by standing up your defensive ends? Still felt like there was too many stunts and missed tackles, but pleased with the result.
And the only reason Reed even touched him was because he stepped on Deoge's heal/ankle and tripped.
Yeah, right after Doege made a hard cut to the right and basically cut Reed off. The best part about it was watching Mack hold Akina off. I thought Akina was going to rip the official's head off otherwise.
this team and staff finally showed some attitude
I'm probably off the mark here . . . but I was thinking part of the celebration may have been getting Gray a 100yrd game in front of his dad in Lubbock. That was the play that did it.
