Has jumped the shark. It was witty. Until it wasn't. Seeing that phrase used in virtually every thread might mean it's time to move on to our next snarky witticism.
I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.
I agree. The person that uses this phrase the most should be forced to immediately resign.
Has anyone been keeping a tally?
Personally I think jumped the shark has jumped the shark too
This thread scares me to death.
If it wasn't such an accurate phrase that is the basis for so many issues with the football program then I would agree.
...."as has dumpster fire"
Yes, but it loses it's punch when you say it over and over again. Lord knows that Mack says it enough, and that's why it was funny to begin with, but move on.
Just the picture is always funny and relevant. No words are needed.
Yup. That's funny as hell. A picture is worth....
Don't have any clue what the OP is referring to.
Not to make a huge deal out of it, but Texas reality is that it coaches, plays, recruits and hires scared. Until such time that Mack changes (not happening) that phrase is an accurate, and sad, description of this program.
Awesome post. 100% correct.
Don't be afraid to ride the lightning.
.....has frightened the head coach to eternal rest
I'm not debating you on it. I'm telling you to quit working that tired phrase. Expand upon it. Surprise yourself. Make up imaginary words like terrification, or use another language. Vix ut nex.
Like "no homo" or "butthurt", it's use is trite. I appreciate a turn of phrase and you can express that same sentiment without parroting that thought over, and over, and over.
Do as you will. I actually agree with you, but "Scares Mack to Death" bores me at this point.
Fitting that you posted on this thread. You have probably used the "scares him to death" phrase more than anyone on this board.
Thanks for paying attention. Sorry, I'm not as familiar with your posts.

You are welcome. No biggie.
Lots of parroting goes on in sports writing and message boards. This one has died down some thankfully, but I still cringe every time someone uses the word "pedestrian" to describe a bad stat or performance.
How about "Soils Mack's Depends"?
Agree! Slap a UT Althletics logo on it and we can cover most topics.
The overuse of tired catchphrases just scares you to death.
The thought of jumping over a shark scares me to death.
....fearful it may cause corch to partake of a dirt nap
Memes have a way of dying on their own. But since this poster has decreed that they bore him I guess we should all stop. Clearly this board exists to entertain only him. And that scares you to death.

Really? You still getting enjoyment from that overused phrase? It's a low threshold for some I guess.
