Now has Texas facing Texas A&M, just like CBS does.
Apologies to Texas AM and Clemson fans for providing false hope last week in the form of projected BCS berths. Saturday's upsets changed my BCS lineup considerably.
Check me out on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/247Blake
my next question goes to bobby... does texas take that to play a&m?
If that matchup is how the cards fall, then I would be very disappointed if our leadership declined that game.
It's one thing to not go out of your way to schedule them, but it's another to purposefully avoid playing them in a bowl game. We would get crucified in the media.
No doubt about it. It would be a bigger story than the game itself would be.
nobody would know about it if it happened.
What happens if Dodds declines? Cause we know he will be the one to convince other to decline playing the game. What happens then? Next best bowl? Alamo? What a disgrace, if that happens. It will show fear and cowardness on the part of Texas...
Screw the frickin' media.
Do NOT play those stinkin' aggys.
BS. aggy would make a huge deal about it but who gives a flyin' flip what they say.
We have score board on them now - leave it that way.
Do NOT play aggy.
Agree. I dont see why we should refuse to play aggie at the Cotton Bowl. I very much doubt if Texas will refuse to play the game. If we lose to aggie so be it, but there's no need to get beat by refusing to play the game itself. Those who dont want to play either want to continue the childish nonsense that the aggies started or dont want to play because we might lose.... I dont know which reason is worse. If Texas wins against TCU and Kansas State, then I believe they are capable of at least putting up a fight, if not winning against the Aggies.

I don't want to schedule aggy. F* them. But if they come up as our bowl game then let's go in there and kick the shit out of Johnny Football and send them all back to College Station crying again. We can beat that team.
If we pass up a Cotton Bowl bid just because its against A&M then we will look like the biggest bunch of pussies ever. I won't renew my tickets until everybody behind that decision is gone.
Texas AD DeLoss Dodds on possible A&M-UT Cotton Bowl: "That’s dictated to us by BCS and bowl games. We'll take what we get."
Good. If we pussied out and refused that game I would lose all respect for the University football program and would not watch another game for years. That kind of cowardice would be a deal breaker for me.
They just beat frickin' Alabama at Bama.
They have been improving every week.
That little water bug they have for a QB will run thru our D like water thru a hose.
This game has heartache written all over it for us.
If we play the game we maybe will lose.
If we refuse to play the game we have already lost.
I read this and said WTF? What kind of pussy says this? Then I looked at the name of the poster and it made sense.
No. We won that game. I have no desire to let the aggots reclaim eternal scoreboard just one year after fate handed it to us. Let the livestock rapists stew on it for a decade or so. We have everything to lose in that game.
Win out and it's a moot point anyway.

I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.
I agree with this 100%.
Plus, think about the bragging rights if the beat those f*ckers!
Come back and tell us what a big tough boy you are when aggy beats this D like a drum - asshole.

Plug the leak man, your vag is dripping all over the place.
Beating the shit out of aggy is what we do. Doesn't matter if they have the better team or not, at some point aggy goes full aggy and shits there pants. It's engrained in their DNA. It's who they are. This year would be no different.
Omg!!! They beat Bama AT Bama!!! They're the best team ever!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus Christ. Just stop.
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
The Cotton Bowl would be stupid to take that matchup. They want to be big-time and become a BCS game. Nobody outside of Texas gives a damn about that game. Texas vs Georgia or Florida would at least draw some viewers outside the state.
Dude, we start Mykkele Thompson at safety. Hicks and Jeffcoat are out for the season. We are incredibly thin at linebacker and in the DL. The Texas defense has made our opponents 3rd string running backs look like Earl Campbell on steroids. Diaz seems to be clueless as to how to fix the problem.
Playing aggy will not end well for us.
We have scoreboard on them now - let's leave well enough alone.
Re your idiot post - Bama is one of the 3 best teams in CFB, and yes, aggy beat them at home. Doesn't mean they are the "best team ever", but it is indicative of their team strength this year and it is just one reason (there are MANY more) it should serve notice to all you knuckle dragging, mouth breathers as to why we might want to pass on playing them in the Cotton Bowl.
