Looking at the signing day list, I was surprised to see Ole Miss near the top. Obviously, they did one heck of a job recruiting. They took the # 1 and # 3 players in the country. The rest of their class is impressive including three recruits from Texas. None of the Texas recruits was offered by UT.
I understand that the campus and local surrounding of Ole Miss are quite nice, yet it’s still Ole Miss and Mississippi, nothing like Austin and the UT campus. Wondering how a school like UM could do so well, I went to their sight and I found a weasel. Sorry, I should in fairness say a suspected weasel. Their star recruiter is none other than baby Kiffin, Lane Kiffins little brother. Makes a boy ask the question, did big brother teach little brother a thing or two?
Now that the vaunted NCAA has been caught with their hands in the cookie jar what will happen to enforcement?
I think the biggest factor for Ole Miss was the built in connections with some of their top recruits.
Having Nkemdiche's brother already on the team was big, and Treadwell's former teammate/really good friend was also there. I think without those two guys Ole Miss doesn't get either 2013 recruits. Getting Tunsil was the biggest surprise, but I think Freeze's plan of getting all those guys on campus right before signing day to let the guys who were bought in help turn the others was a bit of genius.
Inside the War Room as Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss landed Robert Nkemdice, Laremy Tunsil and a historic recruiting class on National Signing Day 2013.

I think you said a mouthful there ("bought in").
Dave, we don't have room for common sense on this board. Lots of posters can't stand to think their team can get beat without cheating
You like that better than offering a year in advance and hope no one else asks them to visit. Shocking.
I have a feeling something went down here.... its the $ec... the feeling will always be there...
Last time I checked our team wasn't beat by ole miss. They were stomped on their own field. As far as cheating, there is no proof they cheated but there certainly is smoke. The NCAA doesn't care so why should we. Until someone in the media has the courage to investigate and force the issue with the NCAA, there is no use in worrying about who is cheating. Do it the right way and keep you integrity intact.
