This kid has had a tough road to making a Division l football roster.
It looks like he is left hanging in the wind at OU now that Shipp is gone.
I probably already know the answer, but is there any chance that Bo Davis reaches out to this kid given the weakness of the 2014 defensive tackle crop in Texas? He is, once again, a free-agent until after he graduates in May.
For Quincy Russell (6’5, 305, 5.1) of Trinity Valley Community College, Texas, these are confusing times.

He did not sign a LOI?
Are you saying he isn't signing with OU?
Negative - still has to graduate.
I am saying that he is still a free-agent at this point... this, according to the OU site.
Chupita - buys OU shirts at halftime of RRS rapings and is a member on OU sites
accuses others of being fake Longhorn fans
I've thought for years that Quincy would wind-up at Baylor if he ever made it to D1 college football. Maybe I'll be right?
Gary Greene holla!
Grades seem a big obstacle for this kid.
Just attached the article chupita is referring to.
Going to be interesting to see where he ends up.
Dave, any chance that we reach out to Quincy?
Commits to Texas...de-commits from Texas...commits to Texas...signs with Texas...doesn't make grades...signs with JUCO...signs with OU...hasn't made grades, yet...unsure if he'll play for OU
...I'd be surprised if Texas recruited Russell after everything that's occurred
Dang I feel bad for the guy. Grades gotta be the priority though. It sounds like he is still struggling with his books. I hope he gets them together and finds his way back on the field somewhere.
Good find Chupita. I wonder if Texas will reach out to him.
If he is still struggling with his grades at a community college then going to OU is the best thing for him.
Texas has no interest. Underwater muff diving credit will not transfer.
He'll be an honors student at OU....
Perhaps I'm remembering this wrong, but I think he gave Texas the right of first refusal when he was looking for his next location after JuCo and Texas told him they were looking in other directions. In that case, can't hold signing with blowU against him when Texas told him he wasn't wanted here.
Sure I can.
