Sorry to hear that man.. I love my dad so much and it would tear me apart to go through what you are going through.. hang in there man.. one day, we will all be reunited.. prayers to you and your family
That's . . . um . . . . I . . . . when I lost my dad . . . wow . . . trouble finding words.
Toughest thing I ever had to do, and I was halfway across the country and had to do it over the phone. The first flight out would not have been in time and he passed during our conversation.
Prayers with you man.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It is so difficult to lose the ones you love. I lost both my mom and dad to cancer 6 months apart. The wonderful memories you had with him will give you comfort and help you through this difficult time.
Thoughts and prayers. I know a lot of us may never get the pleasure to meet you in person but you are very much among friends here and we'll do anything in our power to help you through this time. Love and respect, buddy. Hook 'em.
Dude...You are definitely in my prayers Amigo! I will be getting that call about my Mother soon as well. Stay as strong as you can. Make sure your Pops knows you love him.
"I don't want to talk about things, I'd rather do things. We just talked, now it's time to do!"
You know what though...Although he may not be able to talk...His eyes will tell you that he comprehends, hears, and validates what you're saying. Prayers up buddy!
Thoughts and prayers man.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I lost my Dad in much the same manner and was holding his hand when he passed. I had never gone thru anything like that before and was blessed by seeing firsthand just how easy and peaceful he was when he passed. It made my grieving much easier.
Words don't even really matter much. Dads know what you feel just by you being there.
I just don't know that I can do that.
God bless your Dad and y'all, thoughts and prayers...
My prayers are with you. Just went thru this with my Dad who died on Sept 5. Spent several days at home with him and my mom while he had some lucid periods. Made sure I told him several times each day how much I loved him and what a great dad he was and how he was such a great role model for me. Just before I left Louisiana to come home to SA to get my wife and return I had the greatest short conversation with him stressing all the things I just mentioned. He was very weak but made all the right replies. I felt a calm come over me and felt that I probably had just said goodbye for the last time to my beloved father. He died an hour after my wife and I got back a day and a half later without us having another chance to talk. I am so thankful The Lord gave us that last opportunity. We won't always have that chance so make sure you always let your loved ones know how much you love them. You never know when it might be the last time you have the chance. I hope you have the same opportunity with your father that I had. God bless you and your entire family in this trying time.
Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
May god bless you and your family during this difficult time.
Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
I'll be thinking about ya, hang in there bro.
Thoughts and prayers.
May you and your family be granted peace, comfort and courage and may you all be embraced and encouraged by all of the good things that your father has given to you all and taught you over the years.
My thoughts and prayers to you.
Thoughts and prayers, man. Been there, went through it with my Dad. You don't have to say anything to him to let him know how much he means to you. You've spent a lifetime telling him through words, actions, in your eyes, in your heart. He already knows.
Just ask God for the strength you need and pray that he grant your Dad a peaceful passing. I've been in your shoes a couple times or more, too much regret if you don't. Ask God and he'll get you through it. Gog bless you
P.S. Thanks Randy for your advice. Good messages to all of us.

Wow.. WVU fan here. I came to troll your board and find some good places to visit if I make it down. Read this and felt the need to let you know you and your family will get Prayers from someone up here in the Mountains too. Been through Hospice with another family member myself. Hard, hard times..
A game is a game, but Family is everything. My Prayers to you and your family.
Keep your chin up bud. I'll be thinking about you.
