April 2012--majority calling for Sweet Sixteen or bust
Everyone on the second weekend boat in October
November and we start to wonder if Kabongo will be eligible, but most are still thinking second weekend. Somebody, I wonder who, lists a bunch of problem areas.
Before opener expectations with the first suggestion we might fear for the season
Post-Fresno State, Coppin State
Most of us couldn't see the Fresno State and Coppin State games, but discussions had taken a decided turn for the worse.
Reality sets in in Maui
A modest proposal
A glimmer of hope against UT-Arlington
The ineptitude is made fully apparent against Georgetown
Getting disappointed against UCLA
Skipping on a bit to the lone bright spot in non-conference play
I'll put up some more tomorrow.
God, what a miserable season this was.

Is it ok to cry? I want to after reading that.
While some believe if we had had Myck all season it would have made a significant difference, I don't. A few more wins probably but I still think we would have missed the tournament. Not only based on our play post his return -- since that's not really fair -- but I simply don't believe he's that good or will ever be that good. We're pretty bad right now and I don't see us being much better next year.
Would not have been significant. He is no () Michael Jordan...
"Don't know. Never had one"
-- D. Royal-Mack Brown how to coach a team after a losing season
The bubble is ridiculously weak. Five more wins (USC, UCLA, Baylor in Waco, WVU x2) would have put UT in the field. Those were all OT or single possession games.
But it wouldn't have been a deep run in the tournament. Texas would have been a ten seed or so and out after the first weekend in all probability.
I'm blown away honestly. I persoanlly didn't see k-state this good either with the coaching changes and recruiting. I'm optomistic about next year but that's entirely based on development. A lot of talant in there somewhere
Just my feeling but I think Sheldon and Bond will transfer. So you have what's left coming back hoping they have improved a lot more than Sheldon and Juice did over their summer. Plus a no-name point guard recruit and Croaker. Barnes may throw those two open scholarships on some longshots because he can't get any big name players to come here anymore. So you have this years team without Myck but with Croaker as the only one coming in that can make a serious impact. I think that they will make the tournament but lose in the first round. The crowds at the Erwin Center will continue to get smaller and smaller and that will be it for Barnes.
