I saw that one of their players (Huggins) also signed with a JUCO yesterday. That's funny -- Boob Stoopid just wanted him to sign on the dotted line with OU for the class ranking. They knew all along he would'nt qualify.
What a bunch of idiots!
Best class in the Big 12 my butt... their composite ratings are well below ours as well.
Good ole Gooners!
Of course he didn't - the kid signed with a JUCO the same day.
Stoopid did it for the class rankings boost.
Just because you double sign doesn't mean its set in stone he won't qualify. It just sets up his plan B. And i could point out that at least OU still has 6 other D linemen to fall back on in this class and didn't get shut out on all D linemen. Texas signed a solid class, albeit small but especially the OL, its solid. OU signed a solid class as well, getting what many consider the top QB, and RB from Texas. Plus a few others even Texas tried getting in on late like Matt Dimon.
It's called double signing but don't let facts get in the way from a good ole fashion ignorant rant.
2012 Composite Rankings = Texas 3 & OU 15
2011 Composite Rankings = Texas 3 & OU 12
2010 Rankings = Texas 3 & OU 7 (Rivals Rankings; 24/7 composite not available for 2010)
The composite ratings haven't seemed to matter the last 3 years on the field in Dallas
Yup, just like the gooners to have to live on recruiting victories instead of actual victories on the field against their biggest rival.
I hate blowU a lot. A whole lot. But this is one sad, misguided post.
My god you're a moron.
Ha, the rumor is that Russel isn't going to qualify either.
Funny that Stoopid and Heupel were all over Swoopes before he commited to UT. You got your fallback guy at QB.
Are you really saying Swoopes is a better QB than Cody Thomas. I think Swoopes will contribute to Texas, in a big way but not at QB. He's a great athlete but fairly average as a QB, for now.
Russell will qualify, he just couldn't enroll early like he wanted. Whose DL class would you rather have, OU or Texas? Dimon, Obo and DJ Ward are really solid prospects. I don't know why you're going out of your way to try to rag on this class. Texas signed a great OL class and I'm not insecure enough to deny it. OU has a solid DL and DB class.
2010: OU 28 Texas 20
2011: OU 55 Texas 17
2012: OU 63 Texas 21
But hey... at least our composite recruiting rating is better.
Well, I will tell you that AT THE TIME THAT WE RECRUITED QB's, Swoopes was "the guy"... Barrett was even ahead of Thomas at the time.
To answer your question directly? I have no clue who is the better QB right now. And neither do you. That is TBD. I can say that Brian Harsin fell in love with Swoopes and he has a decent track record with evaluating QB's. Heupel and OU recruited Swoopes too. Before they offered Thomas, in fact.
If you read everything early on Swoopes, you know that he was by far the higher rated kid. Thomas came on later in the process.
Russell may, or may not qualify. I'll take Raulerson and Hughes anyday. Both could be defensive linemen before it's over. By the way, we didn't graduate our entire 2-deep on the DL. It was hardly a huge need for us. If we wanted any of those guys we would have recruited them early. Ward is the only one that I recall offering (could be wrong.)
For the record, I'm not "ragging on your class"... just about the BS having a kid sign an official that won't even stick. And OU knew it wouldn't stick. It's just dumb. It would be like UT having Kinner sign a LOI to improve the class rating.
You have to be the most insecure, inadequate, douche on the internet. I'm just trying to figure out if you're
1) Some 11 yr old kid with no friends and low self esteem.
2) Some 25 yr old kid with no job, no life experience, no friends, and low self esteem. Living in your parents basement.
3) Some 40 yr old with no job, no goals, no friends, and low self esteem. Living in your parents basement.
4) Some 70 yr old grouch who woke up one day and realized you accomplished nothing in life, therefore you must spend your last years tearing everyone down to give yourself some feeling of accomplishment. Living in your parents basement.
Either way you have to be one of those people that wants participation ribbons for everyone and thinks there should be no winners and losers, as that would hurt someones feelings. Easy to see you where the kid that only got into the game because the coach had to let everyone play.
Like it or not, in the eyes of many Texas is a stale program at the moment. That could change tomorrow, or 3 years from now. It doesn't mean all the programs that beat us in the recruiting rankings you are so worried about cheated.

Please stop, seif is one of the few folks who posts here from other boards that doesn't stir the pot, he's a cool guy.
And how do you feel about Dodds, do you think he should stay despite all that he's allowed under his watch? You keep spitting the company line though.
Bottom line is a double sign is for a kid who is borderline with his grades. It happens everywhere.
Why didn't Mack have Kinner sign an LOI? He's seems as likely to qualify as Huggins at OU. What does it matter? If the kid doesn't qualify this year, after JUCO the LOI to the D1 school doesn't mean anything anyway. Am I wrong?
Let's make a new rule -- we have to come within at least 4 touchdowns of beating OU before talking smack about anything football related.
I will give you some credit, first off your coming on our board and having a.....lets say non-aggie type discussion (which is good), I appreciate that you are not just trying to just be ignorant! You are giving credit where credit is due, Kudos!
I don't mind cross talk between teams on boards, in fact if its productive and respectful I actually enjoy it, because them you see both sides.
Non-the-less, class rankings are stupid, chupita (which means overweight Mexican prostitute) likes to throw out random things out there to boost the program which is fine but a little too much most of the time. OU signed a solid, Texas signed a solid class outside of D line!
We can all argue about who had the better class today, but none of us will truley know until 4-5 years down the road. On a side note don't get to involved with what chupita does and says! A lot of it is just off the wall weird!
Because if Kinner signs we have lost that ship until he either qualifies or doesn't. So say he signed on NSD, today we find a new recruit that is still around and hasn't signed and wants to be with Texas. We no longer have room for him! The kid then finds a new team, a couple days later kinners test come back and they are bad. We just missed two recruits because we signed Kinner before we knew if he was eligible. Oklahoma didn't fill all of their ships, that is why they were able to make that risk. Just like we did a few years ago with Quincy Russell ! Do you understand now?
Make fun of Stoops if you want but the bottom line is he owns the bragging rights no matter what some of you think of him
Recruiting bragging rights don't mean anything when you get blown out in October
Nicely done Horns on the OL. Rami will be a beast.........on another note, we still have one scholly left, do you mind if we have your 5* Chupita...............he seems to NOT NEED any development and is a baller..................just ask him.
Sorry you have these posters, we do as well. See you guys in October, should be another fun time for the best rivalry in CFB.

Self and Blue.....don't mind Chupita, he's just our village idiot...
Shame on you mcb for letting on-field realities get in the way of rankins and stats!
"I don't want to talk about things, I'd rather do things. We just talked, now it's time to do!"
According to Bobby (who knows more than all of us) we could have offered as many as 5 scholarships due to "natural attrition."
We will know in the next few weeks if Kinner would have qualified or not.
That only applies if you are bumping the 25 limit.
We could have double signed 10 JUCO candidates if we wanted to. I still don't understand why not sign Kinner on NSD if thats the plan anyway.
Thanks GPie - I'm with ya. We will know very soon if Kinner is going to qualify or not. If he doesn't (to my knowledge) it doesn't count against our numbers anyway. However, it would have helped with the overall perception that UT isn't recruiting well and put us at the Top of the Big 12 team rankings.
Until someone informs me otherwise, I am going to assume that Mack just doesn't care about recruiting team rankings or he is simply trying to motivate the kid to work hard to get the grade required and not apply additional pressure on him.
Either way - I don't agree with signing them at the same time they are signing with a JUCO. It does nothing but inflate your class rankings.
The part I don't understand though, is how (or if) there is a downside to this practice. The MODs would be the one's that know that better.
