Had dinner with major college D-Coordinator last night (NO, not Manny!) and was told there's lot's of contact going on via Facebook between coaches & players, with the obvious fact of having 7-8 Illinois coaches in the parking lot! Most to all, with exceptions, have given Penn St. 6 months... and feeling is a few will leave after the season is over... almost JUCO 'ish'!

I just don't think others transfer will necessarily push Fera along. Think about it, if you've been with your teammates, friends in school for three years, how difficult would it be to turn your back on them and forever be thought of (by everyone else, and himself) as the guy that quit when things got tough? He can also never go back to Penn State, a place he spent three college years. Whereas if he sticks it out for another year, he's thought of as one of the guys that stood by the program.
Most of all, I guess other than the possibility of being able to go to a bowl and probably win a couple more games, I really don't see much of an upside for him. He's already on the Groza watch list. Scouts will follow him in Happy Valley or Austin. He still has to go through NFL combine or tryout if he has any aspirations to kick in the NFL anyway, so why risk so much for very little to gain?
