I hear a lot of big names as Mack's replacement. Harbaugh, Saben, ect but who are the coaches who are less well know that may be conciderd?
David cuntcliff (spelling?) duke head coach
He was the qb coach for Peyton manning and Eli. So he knows offense. I want a defensive minded coach. He is however someone who knows how to handle academics, just a thought. Any other names out that aren't a household name yet?
(personally I would like to at least talk to John gruden as an option). Just a thought.
Charlie strong, Paul Rhodes, Dan Mullen, Kirby smart.
I know David Cuntcliffe wasn't on purpose but it made me laugh anyway because I'm seven.
As for the names, I'm becoming apprehensive that if Texas can't money whip someone, this winter might not be an ideal hiring cycle.
Good list imo.
Fellas, if it's Paul Rhoads, there are going to be issues in recruiting. That's just how it is.

Are Mullen and Strong ready iyo
If it is Paul Rhoads, there are going to be issues in everything.
Sarkisian or maybe Dabo Swinney? I really like Mullen tho
9 and 4 at Texas sucks!
- Jeff Howe
Not in offseason beard growth.
I'm curious about Fedora. Didn't exactly light it up at Southern Miss until his last year, but he's doing alright at UNC despite that program's issues. Has some ties to the state and can recruit very well.
Charlie strong would be the best candidate, IMO. You could try to pry chip Kelly from Oregon but say goodbye to the integrity and tradition that we have all become so accustomed to with Texas! I personally enjoy the tradition and integrity of the Texas football program. So that would be a major issue to me (not as big an issue as winning)
Franklin at Vanderbilt.
No one has mentioned Todd Graham but he's done a good job at every school he's gone to. He's got ties to hs coaches in Texas since he was one. Moving to another school after only one year at one school certainly wouldn't be precedent setting.
Charlie Strong. Can recruit really well. Can obviously coach well and would bring a hard nosed attitude to this program. He would even give us the ability to possibily take one or two kids from Florida with his recruiting ties. Keep Major as sole offensive corrdinator.
I'm a big Franklin fan. Big jump for him though.
Charlie Strong please.

I'll add Sonny Dykes (La Tech) and Bronco Mendenhall (BYU) to the list.
Todd Graham is a scumbag. Hires like Graham and Petrino run programs into the ground.
Just your opinion or can you give some facts to back up the Graham description?
I don't think that he's been at any school long enough to run it into the ground. Wasn't the Tulsa job the longest he's stayed anywhere and he left that team in good shape.
Are you kidding? Rice to Tulsa to Pitt to ASU all in what 6 years? Plus he bad mouthed Major after Major left Rice..................

Why? He is one of the best coaches in the league. He has 0 talent, but he gets the most out of his talent. I am not sure how he would recruit. He is selling a perennial bottom feeder. So I am not sure he can not recruit at a place like Texas, but I can not say for sure he could
because he's a c*cksucker.
