"Don't know. Never had one"
-- D. Royal-Mack Brown how to coach a team after a losing season
I wonder what the Boston Chesters think of this.
It was Linevitable.
Signatures are stupid. You should block them.
So the team plays great with Lin running his offense then suddenly goes to trash once "pound the rock in the ground and brick a fade away" Carmelo gets back and they fire D'Antoni? Trade that ball stopping fool.
Carmelo is a baby
At some point coaches have to have difficult conversations with their players. Either you are willing to face that tough moment or you aren't.
Nothing against D'Antoni as a person, just a reality of a big difference between great basketball minds and great basketball coaches.
Its just not a good mix of players for the Knicks.
They are now 3-9 I think with Melo back after Linsanity.
Their best two offensive players are traffic cones on defense in Melo and Amare.
Their best three defensive players are bricklayers on offense in Shumpert, Chandler and Jeffries.
(I would argue Chandler is their second best player but that is a different argument).
Then throw in Lin who needs to be in the homeless man's Nash system and Novek who is a one-dimensional player and all the pieces just don't fit.
They are on the hook for mega dollars for two injury prone front-court players on the downside of their career.
They are on the hook for mega dollars for one player who looks to be a scorer and nothing else in Melo.
Not a pretty scene even with the result tonight.
Crazy that Linsanity was only three weeks ago.
Dang those Nicks. Nest thing you know the Jims, Johns and Joes will also be looking for a new coach.
