OU lock now.
Is he from Gorman?
Strange how his ranking doesn't reflect his off the field issues.
Maybe his off field issues are recent and just manifested? Maybe they will when the rankings are updated?
"Why did Texas stop recruiting him?!1"
Being a knucklehead doesn't make him any less talented.
Are you talented if you can't get on the playing field?
but it does effect his value as a recruit. Just like if he were in the NFL. You have to balance his talent with the chances of him playing. I really like the the NEvada High School rules that make an athlete sit out a yr if they try to transfer over academic or "citizenship" issues.
Does he have to sit a year if he transfers to a public school? I thought I read earlier that the rule was if he transferred to another private school he'd have to sit.
In Nevada it is any school, public or private.
He is still going to be recruited unless he attempted murder, rape or molested a kid or something.
There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.
Former player...screwdriver...girlfriend...OU signee
Hey, if that makes you feel better.
Maybe I'm trolling.
"Why is Derrion Johnson a 3*?? He's the bestest CB out there cause his brother posts on the Internet and gives us attention!!!"
Allow me to translate.
"You are an idiot."
OU does not back off any recruit unless they kill someone. See Justin Chaisson, who kidnapped his 15 year old girlfriend and threatened her life with a screwdriver pressed against her throat.

You need new material.
So are you disputing that this site holds Derrion Johnson in higher esteem because his brother posts on here? It's quite the coincidence he's the one everyone was up in arms about
OU pulled their offer on Starks. With the offseason.UT has had that seems a little hypocritical to single out OU.
I thought it was ridiculous then and still think it was ridiculous but that's college sports unfortunately, and everyone is doing it.

Darrion Johnson is who you're thinking of. Many think highly of him, myself included, and it has nothing to do with his brother. The kid is a stud on the field. That, to me, is undisputed.
How much that should or should not impact his player ranking is another matter. I can see both sides of the argument, but if it were up to me, I'd rank these kids on talent alone and leave the "other stuff" out.
