No Longhorns expected to be taken in the first round tonight, but that doesn't mean we can't talk about the draft. We'll use this as the thread for all things draft related throughout the weekend.

God I hope the cowboys have Decastro fall into their lap he is the only pick Jerr can't eff up.
Disagree. Jerry can eff up anything, with ease. Let's just hope he doesn't.
I think Barron would be a solid pick, but I wouldn't but upset about DD
I doubt he will be there at 14 though, also get a little Roy williams vibe (ou) and that would suck
More and more people are saying the Cowboys will select Michael Brockers from LSU. I hope not.
Browns will help Colt out by taking Richardson.
Cowboys will trade up to draft Tannehill at 7.
Patriots will draft 2 white DE/OLB hybrids.
Eagles will draft a lineman of some sort.
Texans will take Fleener or trade out of 1st round.
Seahwaks will take Bones Jones' brother.
Raiders will have Carson Palmer's rotting carcass to show for tonight.
Signatures are stupid. You should block them.
top heavy draft.
2 absolute franchise QB's. it plateaus after that.
Richardson is good enough to take #4 even as a RB. rare prospect. he's by himself though.
very good on the OL and WR's. love Decastro.
DB has much talent. even more issues. everywhere.
LB is thin
DE and DT, like DB apparently has some questions.
I can't blame the NFL for moving the draft to this schedule starting on Thursdays, but I'm going to need a couple more years to get used to it. Always enjoyed getting a full weekend of football in April. It was like getting going on a Saturday morning for an early game in the Fall.

How many defensive linemen have flamed out from LSU compared to succeed in recent years?
Yep. See "Marcus Spears". Hopefully these draft guru's are wrong and Dallas does something other than waste a pick on another LSU flop.
I would be happy with any of Barron, Decastro or Poe at 14. Don't really want to trade up and not crazy about trading back. Stick and stay. Please Jerry don't F this up
Any of those three work for me.
I've been seeing Weeden at 22 for the Browns which would suck for Colt.
Let's see if we can channel jerry
Very doubtful that Weeden goes in the 1st rd. The pick for them that I've seen is the Boise St running back.
Poe concerns me because he was not even very good in college. And he played at Memphis. He seems like the kind of player you take in the later rounds, not at #14.
Agreed. He's only known now because of his combine numbers, not actually for what he did on the field against average competition.
Poe does not belong on a football field...
He's a teletubbie!!
I can see that. What I've read and heard on numerous sites(so fwiw) is that he didn't get very good coaching at Memphis and he was the focus of everyones game plan. Now who knows if that's true or not. I just love big DTs who can push the pocket and occupy a couple blockers. I would think that at the very least he'll be able to do that at the next level. That makes your defense better. Plus it will allow you to move Rat around more.
Well sorry to interrupt the Cowboys draft thread but wanted to throw out who I would want and who I wouldn't want:
Want (in preference):
Then anybody, except for...
I think Fleener is gonna have a real nice career. Dude can play.
