The two suspended proposals — related to recruiting staff size and printed materials that can be sent to recruits — will go back to the Rules Working Group, which authored the initial recommendations, for fine-tuning before the next NCAA board of directors meeting in May.
Wonder what this means for our new hire
Responding to concerns of coaches and athletic directors, NCAA puts recruiting deregulations on hold until May meeting.

I think Texas is still ok with this guy, though his staff is probably going to be smaller now.
and Alabama's much smaller too...maybe this guys picks a few other guys from Alabama's program to fill out his staff, and both can then be in compliance.
Texas is going to be fine. This guy will be a coordinator of people and communication.

Is the NCAA looking to limit the number of personnel positions that colleges can have?
The author of this article mentions staff size but I don't think the deregulation rules had any mention of staff size in them. Articles on other sites (ESPN for one) makes no mention of staff size as an issue that led to the suspension.
Bama has had the same size personnel department since 2009 or earlier (not including those labeled analysts).
Now it can be said why have a huge staff if they are limited in what they can do of course.

I'm sorry. I have already started drinking for the evening. But I laughed out loud.
