Do we have another week or two before we hear more on his SAT/ACT test results?
Timetable is iffy because it all depends on a third party.

My sentiments exactly.
His SAT scores should be back pretty soon iirc. ACT will be awhile.
SAT scores are available tomorrow.
ACT will be 3-6 weeks from last Saturday
I can't recall, does he need a certain score for both the SAT and ACT, or is it an either or type scenerio?
Just one score. If he did well enough on his SAT's that would be enough to get him in.
Thanks. Here's to hoping for some good news.
Just out of curiosity, what is a "good enough" SAT score to get in?
I don't know exactly. I remember reading the Kinner needed a 19 on the ACT which converts to a 1350. That seems really low so I'm not sure if that's true.
Funny when I read that I thought 1350 was almost good enough to be a national merit scholar. Then I realized back when I took the SAT there were only 2 sections instead of 3 nowadays.
Yeah, I didn't know that. Thought it meant one of two things when I read his post: 1. I must be an idiot (slightly lower score) or 2. Canadianhorn is a savant and Mensa member.
Either way, what is a perfect score now? If it used to be 2 sections and a 1600, is it now 3 sections and a 2400? See I'm not so stupid after all...
NCAA only uses the Math and Reading parts of the SAT to determine eligibility. Not sure what a 19 converts to on the two part scale.
Also, everyone's test score minimum is different. There is a sliding scale that the NCAA uses. The higher your GPA, the lower your test score can be. There is an NCAA minimum, but I can't remember what it is off the top of my head.
I think the minimum SAT score is still 820, from only the Math and Reading Comp sections.

"Don't know. Never had one"
-- D. Royal-Mack Brown how to coach a team after a losing season
Doesn't apply to athletes. I'm sure they look for smart players, and most probably meet these requirements, but they don't have to.
I heard that Kinner just spit out a piece of bubble gum. MODS, can you confirm?
Signatures are stupid. You should block them.
Negative. It was a rotten smartie.
