I wish Mack had shown this type of "desperation" his entire career at Texas. Texas used to swing a big stick on the recruiting trail and would've had a better chance at some of these kids had we tried a little harder.
Transition planning with Saban?
Yeah, we've been terrible at recruiting. I don't even know why we try now that we're losing a few recruits to A&M for the first time in fifteen years. We really need some experts from Hookem to step in and take the reigns cause Mack has always been in way over his head.
Trying to figure out who he's visiting in Alabama. The answer is probably obvious, but someone had to ask the stupid question and I'm that someone.
Unfortunately, we're going to get to see how much of a factor Mack's heightened arousal will actually count toward winning a championship this season.
Perhaps he's not recruiting, but instead he's soliciting. Could he be smooth talking schools into giving Manny a shot?
I know...no shot.
Alabama - Mississippi All-Star Football Game
Looks like they've got a couple practices today. May be there to watch a few kids.
But Dave, that wouldn't leave a lot open for guessing or to turn this into a bashfest. Darn you.
"Always been in way over his head"? Come on man, I highly doubt you felt this way 4 or 5 years ago. Don't try to take these last 3 years and make generalizations about Mack's 15 years at Texas
I don't think coaches are allowed at those all star games or practices. Could be wrong.
I think Sundance was using a little sarcasim this morning.
Take a shot at Reuben Foster
Maybe this question has been answered before, but I wonder which state, per capita, produces the most D1 talent. Mississippi would have to be up there, with only a population of about 2.5 million.
Za'Darius Smith is from Greenville, Ala.

Isn't that Gump kid from Greenbough?
I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.
Louisiana for the 4th year in a row (MS is #2):
When it comes to producing NFL talent, Louisiana is tops. According to a report by USA Football, Louisana had 61 players who made NFL rosters last weekend, ranking No. 6 among states but No. 1 in NFL players per capita. Louisiana has one NFL player per 74, 318 people.

How many first round draft picks have we had in the four years?
Tongue in cheek my friends. Tongue in cheek. Jeesh.
It wouldn't matter. Jenny told me that he was out of eligibility.
First thought I had.
Mack to AD.
Saban to HC.
After the NC game.
Funny you say that. I was telling a co worker this morning. When they play the Texas Vs. Louisianna High School Allstar Football Game. It seems like Louisianna Boy's beat us over 75% of the time? I have no stats. I'm just saying?
Za'Darius Smith is from 30 minutes south of Montgomery.
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
And while I'm also in Montgomery for the Alabama-Mississippi game/practices, no I am not Mack Brown.
46 miles = 30 minutes if Gerry is driving, correct. I've seen you in hyperdrive on 45 on the way to Big D.
