bb..............actually I think its the same thing. It is an attempt to manipulate the publics opinion.
"Leadership is wisdom, courage and great carelessness of self"
But... but... but... "County Fair!!! Benny Wylie is really intense and wears sweats all the time"
How can we possibly be saying training isn't intense, yet again?
Pretty accurate. Vince was 8-23 passing for 86 yards. It looked like the game could have gone on for 8 quarter and we wouldn't score. Benson was a 100 yards or darn close.
I think Edmond needs to come off the edge. He's Sergio Kindle part 2 in my opinion.
He's not gonna make the NFL as a linebacker. I have a feeling he would be a great Defensive End.
Reality. If you commit, mean it. No trips for anyone this year. The way it should be played.
That's not true either Bobby. I'm not going to say the entire fanbase; but there was great hue and cry on your old OB's site for Vince to move to receiver. He wasn't well received after the OU game. Clearly, there wasn't the angst on signing day that we have with Swoop's, but the vocal internet fan base was ready to move him outside after OU.

Two last parting thoughts.
Our middle linebackers both needed to slim down to play in the Big XII. Great news on Santos. Hope Edmonds follows suit.
And CTJ's great angst over Kinner was misplaced. Imagine that.
How big is Bryce Cottrell now? Keep hearing the coaches praise him...
Hayden Christensen - to merely call him wooden is an affront to puppets everywhere...
I don't think they are the same caliber of athlete.
Your memory isn't so good although you probably just pulled that out of your ass. VY was the only Horn that came to play that day and played his ass off in his first real extended action in a game where the outcome was in still in doubt. He was the lone highlight of the day, ripping off huge runs and keeping us in the game for much of the first half. Fan-base was pumped about VY afterwards.
- "We're about to be really good and that (recruiting momentum) will take care of itself"
Like keeping your good friend Nick from flying in to Texas and poaching the best DT in the state?
I hope so. That is beyond embarrassing. Please get really good next year and keep the key talent in state, especially those that have mom's that want their kid to stay close to home.
I think of our current coaches going in to Alabama to sway a recruit and then I think of unicorns on a rainbow bridge.
Please get really good. Now.
Or maybe he cares more about getting kids that stick more than making a splash.
This whole "we are as committed to you as you are to us" makes total sense. Mack promises these kids a scholarship barring legal or grade issues. If A'Shawn had been injured or had a really crappy senior season his scholarship was safe. Going forward, Mack can yank it if he doesn't meet our requirements. Also, Mack may start going after OOS blue chips earlier in the process when a verbal starts checking out other schools. Ironically, I have heard a lot of people complain that he wasn't already doing this & now it appears most are blasting him for taking this approach. I blame Mack for many things, most recently do not firing Diaz, but I don't blame him for changing his approach on commitments.
OK, enough with the nice conversation on this topic.
I was at the game in 2003! It was 65-13 and VY ran for a lot of yards, but was nothing short of horrible at the QB position. 3 turnovers and we didn't score a TD after the 2nd quarter. I actually bought an OU t-shirt at halftime so I could party and not have to deal with Sooners idiots.
I'm not saying that VY was the worst player on our team, but when you lose 65-13 there isn't a lot positive to say about anyone on the losing team. I recall conversations that I, and others were involved in about VY to WR/TE and Mack to be fired. Deny it all you want but it was reality.
Here is the box to refresh your memories http://espn.go.com/ncf/recap?id=232840251
245-250 right now.
Subtracting sack yardage, he had 145 yards rushing for ~>10 ypc including a 60 yard run and a TD.
He accounted for 262 yards of total offense, 65% of the team's total that day.
To say he wasn't "in anyway effective" is laughable. He truly was the only thing Texas had going.
The calls for position switch were 100% racially motivated.
The guy turned the ball over and couldn't put together a scoring drive for 2 1/2 quarters.
I was there... he was not good, and the point was... plenty of people (racists no doubt) were calling for a lot of peoples heads and positions after that game. A lot of the chatter was from fans wanting to move VY to WR/TE.
That is all that I said. Track back the conversations on ESPN or Rivals.com... damn racists!
I think between Bryce and Caleb we may have 1-2 surprises next year in the DE rotation.
It was the last game he didn't start at Texas for a reason. He was the lone bright spot. The next year against ou and after mizzou were when the talk about moving him was high.
Also, why the hell would anyone ever buy an ou shirt? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
The guy was a RS Freshman who hadn't been taking starters snaps and practices all season but was the lone bright spot on a team that was getting its second dismantlement in Dallas under Mack. No one else came to play that day. It was classic Mack/OU.
He was also square peg in a round hole - taking a generational player and sticking him in Chris Simm's offense.

Don't get me wrong... I was absolutely NOT one of the guys that was calling for VY to be a WR/TE. I simply stated that there were plenty of fans on message boards that were calling for that very thing. You are correct, there were no positives from that years OU/Texas game. Very much like last years game... I suppose you could say that Case looked "good" against OU this year due to his performance.
And, I agree with the rest of your statements as well.
Ok, hookem247 staff. Seriously. Seriously? I'm not all about witch hunts and what not but for a long time I've thought one of two things:
1.) chips is just a wittle guy with a wittle bwain but dammit he woves his Longhorns!!!
2.) chips is an evil aggy/sooner genius posting here as a troll in efforts to try and keep Mack around for as long as possible. This latest post make me think it's option #2.
Any chance y'all know where this thing is posting from?
No "real" Longhorn fan would ever buy a MFin' OU shirt during halftime of a Red River Raping.
I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.
Only the world's biggest pussy would buy an OU shirt at halftime of the RRS because he didn't want to deal with the shit talk like a man.
The guy who is calling us all bad fans for criticizing our program just admitted to buying a Sooner t-shirt.
Get off your soapbox big guy. You just lost ALL ability to talk mess to ANYONE.
