Worried? No because anyone who has been paying attention has known for months that no carrier will be picking it up for the 2012 season, they all signed their deals months ago
If that did not reach you, here let me spell it out, if you do not have LHN right now, you will not have it at all for this season, there is no chance that Direct, Dish, Comcast, Uverse or TW will add it.
Deloss sold out the fans for 15 mil a year
I really wish the rest of the Big 12 would have joined in this network if it was presented to them previously. A Big 12 network would have been pretty cool, and draw more people than a single school
Honestly, I wish no school or league would have a network and we could just have a few extra channels added to the premium sports tier like they did for the Olympics with each member school's game in the big conferences. Make it pay like the NBA league pass or NFL ticket. That way if you live in Texas but want to watch ASU v Wash St or some such you can easily do so.
Speaking as someone who also goes to the games, it's so much more than that. Half of our basketball season, almost all of our baseball season (at least 2 years ago, we could stream the games online for free). That f****** sucks.
Now if we can expand the stadium to, say 2 million, we could get everyone at the stadium, yea!
This is the bigger issue to me.
My guess is that Texas balks at more than 1 game next year without greater distribution.
I don't think there is a problem with a single lower level game against New Mexico State or something like that on LHN since it would be PPV or Gamplan anyway. But when you start talking about two games, it's a different story.

One game, two games... that doesn't matter. They'd have to have the entire schedule, like ND puts on NBC, before any carrier would feel any sort of tug, and that ain't happenin'.
“Kansas may wind up number one in these polls, but that would be so unfair to Texas...” -- Len Elmore, 2/13/11
It's a football school and until the football fans say they are going to riot; I don't expect anything happening.
I don't think Texas has that control per the contract...I recall it saying Texas must make best efforts to get more games on the LHN.
How do we riot, I'm ready to join you.

What say you now that there is a third, conference game in the mix?
God, you're such a little child. I say the same thing. I'll watch it when it's available, until then I'll refrain from whining like a woman every month. What if the third game springs the carriers to pick this thing up?
Why would it? And Bobby is now saying Baylor looks to be out on the deal. So ISU is going to move the needle?
Baylor has no reason to want the game on your network.
There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.
Exactly. why do they want to do anything to help Texas or the Longhorn Network, this was a bad idea
Why would it be PPV or Gameplan? From 2004-2010 we had exactly 4 PPV games and all others were picked up by tier 1 and 2.
I don't really care either way. I wasn't the one that brought up the possibility of a third game. So if Baylor is out, what are we talking about?
This is too simple. LHN will get picked up or it won't.
Well, I didnt think of it as helping texas. I was thinking about limiting the amount of exposure of their program. That game will be on TV, especially if Baylor has a decent year.
