National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
- God Bless Texas
I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.
I think it is important to know that Raulerson could get a 5* to even consider Texas at this late date. You never know if you don't a least check it out even though there is only a slight chance. Momma may even like Austin.
Has Harrison indicated in any way that Texas recruiting another OT would offend him, and cause him to look elsewhere? Or is this just Mack Brown recruiting scared again?
Harrison saw the OL practice. He should know that both he will come in and likely start immediately. He should also know that Tunsil would likely come in and compete - at a minimum - for snaps immediately on the opposite side. This is the freaking OL, not QB. There's five spots on the OL, and all 5 spots could use upgrades.
Not going full steam after Tunsil is a mistake, no matter how much of a longshot he is. Every year we see kids that choose compromise schools because the kid and parents are split. Every year we see a kid that isn't exactly sold on one school, and then a power comes in and steals him at the last minute. The chances of it happening are slim, but you take the shot regardless.
