Pertaining to Texas:
"After that I’ve got my visits to Kansas and Texas in February so I know those will be ridiculous too.
You wouldn’t expect Kansas to be a live place to be, but I’m telling you, the Kansas fans are crazy! I cannot wait to get down there for that visit. I know it’s gonna be crazy.
Then with Texas, that’s home and I’ve been there the most. People forget just a few years ago they were the No. 1 team in the country. They’re just young, but I know that’s a place that I could go and make a run at a national title. Just seeing the impact that (Kevin) Durant had is big for me."
NY..............you are the best! Great post and I really like the "tone"!
"Leadership is wisdom, courage and great carelessness of self"
You mean he didn't read the Bill Simmons article? Ha ha
He seems legitly intrested in Texas
Thanks for posting this, NYHorn. Have to like what he says about Texas. Do you know if he has any friendships with any of the current Texas players. I know that he has had unofficial visits to Texas and I think that I read about that somewhere. I did a search, but did not find anything

Close friends with Prince Ibeh as they were AAU teammates and I also believe he's friends with Kabongo...
Durant just never stops delivering. The guy may bleed burnt orange more than anyone on this board.
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
So, by association, I guess he knows Demarcus Holland, too. Good for the good guys.
As that young man continues to develop in his budding career, Ensuing benefits will continue to rain down upon the LongHorn Basketball Nation. I truly believe that he is the next Best NBA Player. It is also great that he seems to be such a nice guy. I do not follow pro sports much, but what is not to like about Kevin Durant?
I agree with everything that you just posted. The guy is the poster child for how a professional athlete should be. As long as he continues to dominate and throw up the horns, the recruiting will pretty much help itself. Of course, not all recruits who love KD will want to come here, but it's not like Barnes and staff can't get their fair share of elite kids.
+1, Tomorrow! Not that it matters!
I just love it when we can get multiple threads about UT basketball going at the same time. It makes me so happy!

Lol, i hope so. +1
Gerry's said all along Texas has a better shot than some would think.
His closest friend on the team is probably Ibeh, but he has also worked out with Holland and become friends with Kabongo, Bond & McClellan from the multiple visits he's already had to Texas.
I have been down this road too many times. I really want him to come but I will not believe it until I see the signature.
This is what I seem to remember having read. I have also read a quote, don't remember where, from Randle where he recognizes the potential of playing with this Texas team. Like Jordan, I will believe it when I see it. We certainly have lost some that would have been good players for us. But, in the meantime, I will choose to look at it as one foot in the door rather than one foot out.
