Texas will be more up tempo, more like what kids are doing at the HS level in Texas.
Texas will still have some elements of two back, power run game - but the OL has to develop and fall into place for that to maximize.
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
Bump. Don't expect any comment on specific cases, but in general, is Texas too careful?
Is Texas going to offer Matt Dimon from Katy? Hate to see him head north of the Red River.

I'm told that's doubtful.
For next year's class, up here near me a couple of local prospects, do you think UT will have any interest in CB Tre Mask out of Sherman or the kid Mayes an OL out of Van Alstyne?
I don't think they're too careful.
I think they've been too easy and too early with scholarship offers for years now. I like the more measured approach.
I think that's accurate, but also that 2014 is pretty salty too.
As early as recruiting has become, these staffs have a pretty impressive read on 3/4 classes in their home states these days.
I think 2013 is considerably better on the OL and DT than 2014, thus the scenario where Texas is really focused there in the 2013 class - besides the needs.
What changes do you foresee on defense (schematically) for next season? More zone in coverage? Any change in DL gap control philosophy?
Potentially but not a must IMO.
Any time frame for releasing the name of the OOS rb?
I just don't know. A friend of mine spoke with Manny at the coaches convention this week. I don't know that there are answers other than teaching players how to play the game better.
