placed 5th. 11.47 won the race which took place at Lake Travis.
That can't be right, unless they were running backward.

75mph head wind?
Be nice, boys...It was only 65 mph...
He's really going to struggle against 100 meter routes.
Gideon-esque. I sure hope he's a coach on the field.
...and Jerry Rice ran a 4.75 40 trying out for the pros.
I like the kid, but Jerry Rice was 6'2", 200. Vaccaro might be 5'9", 180 soaking wet. He's well under his listed size for sure.
Dang, that's slow. Hope he can cover.
He can, but only from 3-5 yards
Granted 11.82 is not elite speed, but we are talking meters and the top time in the state is only 10.64. Nine of the top ten times are by 5A track specialists with the highest being 11.08. Kevin was second team all state and may or may not end up being a significant contributor, but if it had anything at all with Kenny coming back for his senior season it was worth the scholarship. He certainly wouldn't be the first recruit that ends up being practice fodder that doesn't see the field.
We have a lot of 4 stars like that now and a couple of 5 stars in the past that seldom saw the light of day. Lay off the kid and let him enjoy his senior year. We are well stocked at cornerback and safety.
Does Colbert run the 100? If so anyone recall his time?
The defending 3a track champ is Daniel Brooks who is an ou commit. He ran a 10.6 at state last year as a junior. Wish we would of went after him harder. Better athlete than vacarro.
The difference between a 11.08 and a 11.82 is HUGE! That is a slow time plain and simple.

200 and 400 guy, with 400 being his 1. State champ in 400
Will run low 21., if not 20.9 in the 200 this year.
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
According to The Eyes, Torshiro Davis at 231lbs expects to run a sub 11 second 100 this spring. I know that track times don't matter in football and all that, but if he can clock a full second faster than Kevin Vaccaro in the 100, I will laugh.
Taking vaccarro may have cost us a scholarship that we could use on a much better player this year, such as Maurice Smith
Taking Vacarro ensured that we got one more year out of the best player on our team.
Who won the race and what was their time? Might give us a clue on the conditions.
The track at LT is uphill both ways.
Keaton McQuiston of Round Rock in 11.47 if that tells you anythin
Says who? Internet rumors? His little brother getting a ship didn't effect his decision at all.
Now I'm just confused
You aren't the only one.
